Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
Check for coolant leaks (pink crusty deposits) and oil leaks on the lower the front of the engine near the power steering pump. Coolant changes are important on any engine, but especially on the V6.

I bring my wife with me and when the sales person leaves us and goes off to: "get the deal approved by the Sales Manager...", and keeps us waiting, we get in a fake argument and she storms out to the car with the extra keys to my trade.

They are always watching and listening from the other room and invariably, they immediately come rushing back with the "approved" paper-work.

If you purchase, be sure to budget for any fluid changes or any other items not negotiated.

I do all our car maintenance myself, so I'll definitely replace all fluids first thing. Probably a good idea to replace the timing belt as well.

No timing belt on the 4.0.

Oh, really? That's even better. I'd much rather have a timing chain. Less maintenance hassle.

That's alot of miles but if it's been taken care of it's got some life left. When checking the frame if it's been freshly coated over with a rubberized undercoating chances are their trying to hide something.

100 percent , if maintained the right way they run there ass off . I know it’s a different vehicle , but I have a 310 K corolla as a beater car right now that I would drive across the country right now . It burns no oil between oil changes, and it’s had conventional oil since new . Maintenance is so … so important.

I would have to say shop around. Too many miles on this one not having the history. Five miles down the road and boom, and you are out 10K.

as far as I'm concerned I'd take a 300,000 mile Tacoma over a 100,000 mile ford/chev/or dodge any day of the week, even a neglected toyota will out last a domestic veh. as a shop owner I see more high mileage original owners of Toyota and Honda, I have one customer she has a 93 Camry she bought new it has 440,000kms (not miles) she is elderly and her kids tell her to by a new car, and she refuses, say there is nothing wrong with this one!
my son had a 97 4runner(3.4) with 550.000kms sold to a friend of mine who bought it because it has less kms his 96 4runner, which has 680,000kms (4cyl)
my 2005 Tacoma has 400,000 on it,
for a Tacoma its not the driveline its the frame rust, weird that the body's rarely rust, yet frame can be swiss cheese....

.....beyond what you find physically when you inspect it, just regarding the asking price for 2 wheel drive , 18 year old truck with 225,000 miles, $10,000 seems high. ....even if it checked out and was 4wd, with those stats, it seems like it still might be a bit high.....
