I've been over inflated for a while @50psi, we did lots of hwy miles recently and was hoping to eek out a few MPG. Was expecting to see more center wear and less wear on the edges but haven't noticed much change. I did bring it back down to about 40 though.

Was the most smoothest ride in the world lol. Yeah it was definitely more air than I intended but I was in a hurry and also in a mood and then kinda forgot about it for a while :anonymous:

Did it yield any notable MPG differences?

Pulled the compressor bracket. It's nastily rusted - the bolt turns with some effort, but the idler only moves if encouraged by a brass drift + a firm tap with a hammer. Debating if I should strip it down to bare metal and repaint before it goes back on the truck, or if I should just go junkyard/partsouq raiding.

If your local junkyards are anything like mine engine parts will be hard to find. Every Tacoma engine that isn't seized is taken immediately.

Got these for 150, and installed them 40 minutes after. Earlier in the week I also replaced my fuel pump, it had kicked the bucket at 409k Miles.

Put in this airaid MIT this morning and most likely found the occasional vacuum leak code I have been getting.

The tube really is a hoe and a half to get on. While shimmying the tube into the airbox outlet I noticed that it was partially giving way as if it was cracked…sure enough the truck’s parts are starting to show its age.

Gorilla taped around it for now and did a test drive. Idled around 550-680ish which isn’t ideal but wasn’t enough to trigger a code. I will have to buy a new stock box soon. But hey at least it freed up some space - I also didn’t really notice any difference in performance or sound.

On the other hand there has been some talk about driving around with ECT on to penny out MPGs and I admit I sort of forgot about it. While test driving I was getting some serious smiles per gallon in conjunction with the s/c.

It's still not enough. I have issues with any car doing less than 300 miles on a tank

Picked up the replacement rack today - this weekend is new rack to replace the one (4 years old) that is leaking already. "Lifetime" warranty but man it feels even cheaper than the first one from NAPA.

Recently put 555 inners and outers on the current rack so will be swapping those over. Here's to hoping it lasts more than 4 years. New lines as well going in. Best part, there are no centering marks on the rack so have to find it manually with a marker. Have a feeling next time I will eat the cost and go OEM.

My reman from the dealership didn't have marks either. Turned it all the way back and forth a few times counting rotations and then cut the number in half got me decently centered.

Last night I finally put on my knock-off gas tank skid that I've been hoarding for far to long and did some spray bombing with the rattel can in some areas that were getting sand blasted or scraped.

I mounted mine last year as straight bare metal lol. Needed the protection for a trip and figured I'll let the rust be a future me problem. Been waiting for warmer weather to pull it back out and paint it
