You don't have to drill a hole to get 5 bolts installed. But if you want the 6 recommended bolts the directions suggest you might have to.

I've hit my driver's side pretty hard going over a break over with no issues.

I had 4 bolts in plus the one one the bottom. Just thought 5 might be better?

Dang it! I ordered steel sliders before I knew these existed!

I had aluminum sliders on my jeep, they absolutely did the job without the weight penalty.

I was shocked by how heavy my steel sliders are.

I sent Greenlane an email about it. This was their reply...

    "
The holes vary slightly by model/trim. There is one hole on the sliders that is only used for Access cab models, which I believe is the one you're referring to near the rear. If you frame has extra holes in it, it couldn't hurt to add them to the sliders but it is not required.

    Thank you,
    Kyle."

If you go to the 3 minute mark on the video he talks about where a bolt should have went under the brake lines, there was no hole in my sliders for the bolt to go in. I drilled that one out.

Mine sit almost a half inch lower in the back than the front. Anyone else's like that?
