I appreciate those links, the TSB for the noise got me excited, then I realized since I have replaced my leafs with OME Dakar the dealer probably wouldn't honor it with me.

This link, well I never read this one, but it is very interesting and I just laid under the truck to inspect these as well on my Dakar leafs but I'm good to go they look centered and I have that plastic padding which should prevent the squeak should any torsion bring the leafs any closer to those C-guides.

But I have been chasing this noise for ~20k miles now, I think, and mine is a metalic clunk, with a hit of tension in it, and locating it has been crazy. I swore, it was coming from the front coilovers, I even removed my sway bar in front to see if that would resolve just in the case the sway bar was interferring with the coilover, but the noise persisted. The noise seemed to transfer to the steering wheel so again I was 100% convinced the noise was coming from front. Only recently I noticed a couple leaf pads were missing on my topmost leaf, see this post https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...3rd-gen-today.399305/page-14601#post-30559884, and you can see that I got leaf on leaf and no pads on back, and a dislocated pad on front passenger side. SO now I think my noise is that top leaf slapping down on the bottom leafs because the noise presents itself with certainty when the truck flexes like when the left front wheel drops into my driveway thus lifting the passenger rear end of the truck.

So finally I think the solution is, if not replace the rear leafs they are about ~60k miles old, to replace the missing pad disc separators, and, put a couple leaf clamps on the spring in strategic locations. I got the clamps in my shopping basket on Amazon now, but they cannot be installed until I get the pads in place. I can't wait to give it a try, seems like a cheap fix for under $25.00, that is, if I can find a couple those pad-disc-seperators for about $5.00.

Looks like a good product, and plenty of it on Amazon, I may try it. I use a similar product, similar price too, called XPS Anti corrosion spray for my jetski, I think these have similar purpose as well.

If you don't want to give Amazon your money, local shops usually carry T9 such as bicycle shops, tool stores, outdoor gear suppliers

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
I'm not knocking the 4th Gen Taco but I think the design evolution peaked with the 3rd Gen Taco myself. It has excellent proportions, not too boxy and excellent lines. The 4th Gen is too squared off and the character lines seem to sharp for my tastes. Not saying it's bad looking, just not as nice as the 3rd Gen.

Are you sure the T-case has a breather? I know the 2 diffs have a breather, but I'm just not that familiar with this one.

I really like the new look. Wish they came from the factory like this. The rims have a decent look being all one color. I have noticed many cars following the machined painted two tone look. Not a fan but to each his own.

ECGS diff bushing and front diff fluid change complete. I’m whooped lol.

All that’s left is the transmission.

ETA: Oh shit…completely forgot the sliders are due back from powder coating any day now. And I have to install the Anderson manifold spacer that just came in from @K9tacoma (big thanks to him for an awesome transaction). Thought I was going to get a break.

Haha, I'm sure you are satisfied knowing you got it done right. How did the ECGS bushing go?

Took it to get pictures taken for the white paint recall. Should be getting a call back within the next month to drop it off for paint. Shop told me they are looking at a 9 day turnaround time for actual paint to be completed.

I was expecting much worse. Had to file down the removal tool a few times to get it to clear. Very glad it’s done though and I don’t want to have to do it again.

Finally got around to giving my truck a good hand wash to get all of this pollen off. Now it's no longer a slight shade of yellow!
One recent thing I did also was trade out those weak stock tires for a new set of Toyo Open Country AT3 which had a $100 rebate at the time luckily.
