Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
    Because I'm Poor!

If it's like the 3rd gens when I was looking, then I just didn't see the cost benefit. Only thing I would have really liked would have been the all around cameras. Wasn't gonna pay an additional what 15-20k for that.

It depends on the model and inventory is limited on Porsche's anyway. Not sure if Porsche still is, but they were pulling Ferrari antics a while back requiring customers to buy lower end models and Taycan's before they could purchase GT/GT3 cars. The local Porsche dealer near me doesn't even advertise all their inventory on their website. They keep some stuff reserved and rotate inventory as needed.

You are NOT getting a GT3 if you are not a whale.

You can try going through a broker, but those guys just steal your money or you can do what the tech bros do around here and pay massive markup for a “used” one with like 150 miles on it then they turn around and sell it for a markup after they shot their Instagram videos with their selfie dong mounted to the back window and they get fired when Meta moves to Texas.

They are now starting to pull the GT3 antics with the GTS models.

Two dealers turned me away because I don’t have a relationship with them at all, and one dealer said that since I turned in my wife’s Cayenne lease in and didn’t buy anything new from him I would have to at least buy a Cayman S before even being considered for a spot.

That sounds like some pretentious attempt to manipulate the market rather than simply making more cars and selling them.

Is it possible to get ventilated seats on the trd or premium package and the large 14" radio? It seems when trying to build that configuration Toyota won't let you have both options.

Make sure you read the full premium package details. It won't let you add that because it's already a part of the premium package. That confused me at first too so you're not alone

"TRD Off-Road Premium Package (i-FORCE MAX) — includes SofTex®-trimmed seats with heated and ventilated 8-way power-adjustable front seats, leather-trimmed heated steering wheel, 14-in. Toyota Audio Multimedia display, Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM), JBL® * Premium Audio with JBL® * FLEX portable speaker, moonroof, Qi-compatible wireless charging, * dual zone automatic climate control, Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking (PA w/AB) * and Pedestrian Detection, prewired auxiliary switches, digital rearview mirror, Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC), * power open/close tailgate, * Digital Key * capability, and power horizontal rear window"

I see you're from Tucson, and AZ is no better with the massive influx since COVID. I'm in metro PHX and my last 911 was shipped in from the NorCal Bay Area, if that sounds backwards or ironic.

Some of the Pro hate is from the Ranger Raptor fans. TFL just did a Ranger Raptor vs Tacoma TRD Pro drag race. Best run for the Tacoma was 16.05 vs 14.83 for the Ranger (both in 2WD). The Raptor had the Ford Performance tune which gives it an estimated 0.6sec advantage but still about 0.6 faster than the Tacoma. Not sure if they were running the recommended premium fuel in the Raptor. However, the Raptor isn't loaded down with options like ventilated seats, a moonroof, 2400W inverter, integrated light bar, power tailgate, etc. It will be interesting to see when they do an MPG comparison between the two.

They also raced the Tacoma against a 2019 Tundra TRD Pro. The Tacoma easily beat it. Take that 4banger haters/V8 lovers.

We all knew the Raptor was the faster truck, but it made zero difference to me when I bought my Pro.

The Ranger Raptor is more purpose built for speed than the Pro with the absence of those options.

I'd like to see the RR go up against a 3.5 F-150 and 3.4 Tundra.

So trading in a tacoma for a cayman or cayman is the second vehicle and if you can't acquire, you'll get a new gen 4?

Dare I recommend something you have thought about but probably don't want....starts with a B.... model is an M too...

I'd hope not, dealers have dug their own graves since price gouging buyers and the service department customers. $61k for that pro, that honestly sounds okay considering the gen-3 was about 54-55k based on an old platform.

IMO the tacoma looks SOOOO much better than the raptor which looks like a modified ranger we would do in autotech class..

Fir the cost of the 4th gen and all of it's dislikes, there's better options out there. But the Toyota fan club will say different. Keeping my 2nd gen until it rots away and looking at a GMC 3500 HD now. Good luck with your hunt.

What dislikes? This is my third Tacoma and it is the best one yet. It is worth every penny I paid for it.

    Worth every penny you paid?

Not that it bothers me that much, the door panels look like blow molded plastic. That wouldn't stop me from buying one.

Good for you, I am on my 6th Toyota. Great vehicles. There also throw away trucks, but like I said. I am going to keep my 2nd gen until it rots away. Good luck with your truck.
