That's small but ridiculously cheap

I also got a vintage bike, glass table, and futon out of it.

 

Those were state police cars back in the day.

I drove one of these torque monsters in HS. Factory hurst 4-speed with a 12 bolt posi-trac rear end and the baby moon hubcaps. I didn't even like SBC Chevys in those years.

 

800 a month is crazy. If it's a good spot, even if its a little small, count your blessings.

 

Yea I mean it's Moscow, not Manhattan. But still, I thought it was pretty decent value. It also has nice wood floors and is right above bars and coffee shops.

 

Can anyone else find decent one bedrooms under a grand where they live?

 

Sounds like a find, Moscow or not. You couldn't find a place to live here on that. Plus you have the Xterra now right? I think that was it. You got four wheels to get out and explore, and a vintage bike...win win.

I do have the Xterra but I'm not too confident taking it far out of town. It also needs a muffler, the power steering pump leaks, and the steering is pretty sloppy. Apparently the exhaust manifolds also love to crack all the time on these too. Not sure if mine area, but I do hear a ticking at idle. Idk I might just try to sell it for what I bought it for and drive the Corolla, since the overheating turned out to just be the rad cap. No more bubbles in the reservoir as far as I can tell.

 

That's crazy, so I reckon you'd have to make at least 6k a month before tax to qualify for a basic apartment there.

 

Last apartment I had was 2650+, and yeah most places are "3 times the rent"

 

But wages are also higher so it evens out anyway

 

Oh for sure! They are the most precise pieces in the build. Everything else requires a little squinting…

I cant compare the bay area to anywhere other than maybe NYC.
Even LA area has lower wages and cost of living (atleast from what i know about the UAs doen there compared to the bay area)

But it also fluctuates wildly just from one spot to the next, even within a 10-15min drive

Can't compare the Bay Area to any part of CA but a lot of people that don't live in CA think rent is $8,000 everywhere out here

 

I don’t see any reason to live in LA unless you’re trying to be a porn star

 

Also I think I way overpaid for the xterra cause this one is better for $900 less..
