Question … bone stock 2021 offroad with AluCab canopy (137lbs) and will we towing a Cedar Ridge VegaXt teardrop camper (1900lbs dry weight) future upgrades will be 17 inch wheels with slightly bigger tires. A winch with front and rear bumpers.. what suspension would be recommended so I can grow into these future mods and handle the extra weight of the cap and teardrop. Thanks!

Recent Ironman4x4 convert here. IMO best bang for your buck upgrade and comes in wayyyy lower than the big boys in terms of cost.

Avoid OME like the plague. Quality has really taken a dive in recent years.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
Accidentally found this, but I'm working through upgrades similar.
Staring at my new OME leaf packs Uh oh:fingerscrossed:

Currently have stock wheels, tire, and suspension. Have full skids (steel/aluminum mix 200#), rock sliders (160#), bed rack (75#), and static RTT (145#). Future purchases include front bumper and winch. This is the set up I just bought.BILTAC-3GEN-5100-2.5.jpg

I'm running OME front/rear shocks without complaints. The only thing bad I ever heard about the leaf springs is they start squeaking. Nothing some Fluid Film couldn't fix.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
We're going to have a mod day soon...when you gonna come out and play again?

In addition to the suspension, you might want to look into Firestone Airbags w/Daystar Cradles. You can adjust pressure in bags per situation, towing, empty..etc. If you do extensive offroading, the bags can leave the cradles and come back down into them. No torn bags, or limited travel.

I was going to start asking around for quotes. I'm no wrench turner, but aren't leaf packs a pain in the ass?

None of it's that hard, leaf packs are heavy and awkward, but otherwise pretty straightforward. Possibly the hardest part is getting some bolts loose after a bit of time. U-bolts just get cut off, they aren't getting reused.

Yeah it’s the leafs that soured me on them. No amount of oil/silicon/fluid film would stop them from squeaking like a frat house mattress for more than a couple hundred miles.

they also only lasted me about 60k miles before going flat. Very disappointed with them which was why I jumped brands
