I have never lived anywhere with an HOA, nor would I. I get certain reasons for HOA's to exist, but my view point is: Unless "you" are paying my full mortgage and property taxes, "you" have absolutely no say in anything I do on, or with my property. I can't tell you what kind of car you can own or what color it can be, so what makes you think you can do that to me? One of the many reasons I never want to live in, or near a city again.

 

this a**hole decided to completely park in front of my driveway. Left his car there for over an hour. Called sheriff dept and parking enforcement and neither ever showed up. Was starting to drag my floor jack to jack it up and put it on dollys and roll it down the street. Plan was to leave it in the middle of the street but the idiot owner showed up just in time. I said "WTF DUDE" he looked at me and said "whats wrong?" I pointed at his car, told him come here and walked around to show him he blocked the driveway.... He said "Oh im sorry I didnt notice there was a driveway there"
Keep in mind there were no cars parked in front or rear of him. At that time there was plenty of parking on the block.

 

He probably didn't see the driveway...so many oblivious drivers on the road especially Cali. It may not make him an @sshole, but it definitely makes him an idiot.

 

Should've dragged his ass off with your truck (or your buddy's truck) and a tow strap. Locked up wheels and all. His problem, make him deal with it. Floor jack and dollies is too much work and too much care for a shithead's car.

 

I'd have called a tow truck instead of the cops.

 

to be fair, i am an asshole. and i'm also parked entirely within the confines of the marked parking space. there are no markings on the curb, because reasonable people assume it's self-indicating. i am neither reasonable or personable.

AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN TOO!

because it's one of the only points of freedom i seem to have anymore...

 

And don't forget, you can't park for shit...

I don't get being proud of not being able to park properly in a space ... much less documenting it

Its like the neighbor who told me he almost electrocuted himself installing a fence (that clearly crossed where the power lines ran ) because why call before you dig??

 

I get pissed when someone parks in front of my house taking my convenient parking spot, which happens almost daily. I live in the suburbs, but my neighbors seem to have people over all the time. If someone blocked my driveway I would likely end up in jail lol.

 

3rd gen 4runner flipped over on the 405 a couple weeks back. You can't park there buddy.

Our new neighbours have a minimum of 6 cars at their house at any given time and I've seen up to 11 different vehicles there regularly.

I have no idea where I'm going to park my trailer come summer.

 

Sometimes when I water my lawn the hose nozzle goes a little wild. I can't keep it from spraying all over the place.

 

i can park properly. i choose not to in that case because the curb is taller in that specific spot thanks to some unattended frost heave issues, so it's far more entertaining for me to park with one wheel up on the double-height curb in that specific instance. it's the same entertainment value as booping the nose of every pet one meets. childish, sure, but asshole-ish, not really. re-check the pictures. i'm well within the lines, so i'm not even effecting the adjacent parking space.

and in the end, it's the childish things that keep us young at heart.

enjoy running your stuffy HOA board meetings on mailbox paint tint and minimum/maximum numbers of flowers allowed on front porches. i'll be outside with the roman candle fights.

 

I don't live in an HOA zone and never will but nice try with the insult..
HOAs are the devil - I would get kicked out of there in like 2 seconds
And my dog is probably banned by every single one of them



Do not boop my dog on the nose - he doesn't like that stuff and might bite you [and that would be your fault]
He doesn't like strangers and especially doesn't like anyone messing with his face
For dogs, their mouth is their weapon - if I came up to you and booped you on your sidearm, would you be cool with that?

It is an asshole thing to do because it is disrespectful to me and my dog, you are in my dog's personal space
Or look at it this way - my dog is my property; would you like someone coming up and touching your property without asking first?
Think before acting a fool in public - or not - it's your life

 

Popular breakfast spot in a tight parking lot. Total @sshole move because it was a full parking lot especially Saturday and Sunday mornings.

 

I hope you got his plate# as well and put him on blast on any local pages on social media. I'm not much for those platforms but sometimes they have a place, let's just say. Minimally at least hoping you put a scare into him so he doesn't do this crap again.

This is definitely the move if it ever happens again with this fool.

Long ago I was doing parking enforcement with my boss (not my regular job but people were parking at the building I did maintainence at and taking the train, and people who worked at the building had no parking). I saw one particular woman whip into the lot in her Audi AWD and cut the wheels all the way to one side, get out and strut her ass to the train. When I gave the towing company the list I mentioned "oh this Audi over here has the AWD and turned the wheels, that might suck to move". He laughed and said "watch this"..chained up, and bounced that thing right out.

 

Buy a couple of parking cones and block your parking spot.
