I have insurance with one of the most well known and reputable insurance companies in the nation, the other part has one of those non-conglomerate, small, regional insurance agencies that operates only within a small range of Western Pennsylvania and all they tried to do was quick settle and bully me into taking their low ball offer. They even bullied me into not taking the rental car they offered.

 

Ah yes, that sounds like something that would happen with one of those crappy companies. That’s such a shame. I suppose civil action would always be an option if the other insurance company isn’t cooperating but that would cost an arm and a leg in legal services.

 

Don’t view it as lighting the money on fire. You’re finding a way to get by until insurance can take care of you. Might want to just hand it over to your insurance and let them handle this?

 

Already did and now I havent been able to get ahold of anyone from the claims department for over a week.

That's what they want... The longer they stall the more likely you will be to take their lowball offers so they will keep stalling...

Or better yet you just give up and go through your insurance and they get to keep the money! In a lot of ways insurance is just a big scam...

 

Supposedly now that i’ve gone through mine, it will take them 6-18months for my insurance company to get paid back by the other insurance company. Which is absolutely insane.

 

Sounds like fake news to me. When that old lady crashed into me, my truck was in the body shop a few days later and I had it back within a few weeks.

 

Everyone’s experiences are different and i’ve not run into anyone who has gotten boned as hard as i’ve been.

I was 100% not at fault, and still this has been a disaster

Still not settled with either insurance company. This is absolute bullshit. There is literally nothing i can do

 

She still runs and drives perfect. Someone could tube the front end, cage the interior, replace the cab mounts, and have one hell of a trail monster.

someone could absolutely save this truck. I’m currently waiting on the salvage title to get back to me.

It would need the following:
A rear window
A steering wheel air bag
Dash air bag
Dash repair
All new cab mounts
Some time on a frame machine
Inner fender structures pulled and repaired
Hood
Fenders
Fender flares
Fender liners
Radiator support
AC condenser
AC lines
Grill
Headlights
Fog lights
Bumper
Hood latch
Hood release cable
Steering column
Clock spring

OTHERWISE it literally runs and drives fine and someone could do some of that, tube the front end, gut the interior, cage it, build a flat bed, and have one HELL of a trail rig.
