Since it bolts to the body where the predator steps mount, I would doubt it

No. It’s attached to the body and not the frame. Purpose is to protect rocks being kicked up by the tires.

Installed in-channel rain guards on all four doors. Not sure how I feel about them as there does seem to be a lot of wind noise when the windows are closed compared to other vehicles I've owned with them.

Might be the first vehicle that I pull them off and raw dog the rain with because I do not like the ones that mount outside the channels.

Rain guards are a hard pass for me in any vehicles. Just makes the aesthetics goofy. Just my opinion.

One thing about overlays is that over time when you decide to remove them it leaves a sticky glue residue on the original lens. Another thing specific to our Tacoma is that our fog lights are weak. Because of that I’m thinking of just upgrading to an aftermarket lights.

Little bit of Spring cleaning. And because I have lost all control of my life, I decided to clean the spare tires as well. I needed to remove it to get to the frame better and it collects salt and gravel during the Winter, so it got cleaned as well.

Besides the interior and exterior, gave the engine a little bit of a wipe down. I had sprayed it off a couple weeks ago, but it was dusty.

Yesterday: Got the fuse box, switches and amp/volt meter installed in the Countor canopy. Nice to have more light available and be able to select from door mode, always on or off.

Today: Got the 6 Canopy Locks electronic lock retrofit locks mounted and installed. Still need to wire them to the relays I installed in the cap so they operate, but lots of progress.

Baja Design Squadron Sport LED lighting . Factory made, backup light kit. operated from stock wiring plug and play through trailer hitch connection.

I’ve been using Simple Green cleaner to clean the engine bay after doing my offloading. It works perfectly, just the right amount of suds, and it loosens up the dirt without having to scrub

Today I pulled the rain guards back off, but I also pulled the air dam/chin strap off. Did my break-in oil change at about 1,200 miles.

Ordered some black lug nuts that should arrive later this week. Productive day.

Finally got around to installing my greenlane sliders. Stoked with how they turned out. Install was easier than installing the trail pipe. Took maybe 30 minutes. IMG_3488.jpg IMG_3491.jpg IMG_3492.jpg

I'm a little leery of using a degreaser on the engine bay. Some of them like to "eat" at the aluminum and look pretty bad.

I did notice just one winter the salt spray attacked the dipstick tube and bracket pretty bad. Going to have to clean that up and coat it before next winter.

What did you use to clean your engine bay?

Just rinsed it down on low pressure a couple weeks ago and yesterday got an old microfiber and used the left over wash water to wipe everything down.

    Hi, I’m new.

    TRD Off-Road:

    ADD hoop front bumper.
Baja Designs s8 20 inch - got a spot but wish I went driving combo.
    Warn evo 10-s
    Factor 55 1 inch failed
    Factor 55 flatlink pro e I think it’s called
    Baja designs yellow sae fogs
Baja designs squadron pro ditch lights on cali raised brackets - I have them in combo and I’m switching to wide when I get home.

It has been on icon recon slx 17s +25 offset and 285/70/17 wildpeak AT4w 6 ply. Spare is matched and so big it needs to ride in the bed.

It also has a bakflip Mx-4 I think it is - it’s not great and definitely hasn’t proven its cost yet either.

Front sags a lot, lost maybe an inch and a half with the new weight. The hoop is visible on the front camera but it’s not too bad.

next is suspension - I’m looking for the best choice for me. It’s overwhelming.

People are reporting the 285/70/17 can fit in the spare tire locations.
