Could be, but it doesn’t seem like Toyota has really followed any previous patterns so far with the F platform. It used to be the Chicago auto show in February where any truck platform updates tended to be announced.

I've noticed some 4th Gen TRD Off-roads at the dealer have air dams and others don't? Does anyone know why? Is it a trim level difference? I have certainly seen some 4th gens with them at the dealer that are completely stock and others without

Hybrids have them. Regular gassers do not.

Ah okay, interesting. That answers that, makes sense with what i've seen then. Funny how I used to be an "expert" on identifying every trim level with the 2nd and 3rd gen by the end of their time but I have much to learn with these new 4th gens!

Ah hell man.....everyone learns how to swim....or sink eventually! I think a lot of us were shocked that there is no receiver one the xtracab SR but is on every other model. Always something to be learned I guess.

I have personally noticed quite a shift in the timeline since they pulled out of the Texas plant and moved the second plant down to Mexico, so now that both Tacoma plants are in Mexico it seems things are coming out much much later now and much slower

Anyone know when they will announce any special or new colors for 2026? I would love to get a 4th gen but really want to hold out for a cool color. Hoping to see a green like army green or spruce mica type color. Wish I had gotten an army green trd pro before lol

Since the new gen tacoma and tundra are built on the same chassis, is the 4th gen tacoma capable of being tundra swapped, akin to the nissan frontier/titan swap? With the increased hp/tq of the turbo 4, seems like it would be a great upgrade path to keep everythong oem.

Not a Tacoma but similar to one.. I was actually able to see one finally out in the wild. Overall I think the back of these new 6g 4Runners look really good. The front end I am not a fan of yet. It does not have that aggressive look like the 5G 4Runners have.

Don't like the front end? They look just like the 4 gen Taco to me.

4Runner looks much better than the Sequioa, but the Sequioa offers more everything over 4R including price. There are so many SUV I wouldn't know where to begin if I was in the market for a SUV.

I heard rumors of green but that was on here. I'm thinking green or blue, maybe yellow. Ford has marsh gray which looks almost brown similar to mudbath maybe more of a green than brown. It probably won't be that but something tactical is what I'm thinking.

Anything Army Green in the 3G Tacoma & 5G 4Runner are holding value like crazy.

I saw a AG 5G OR with the newer style Pro wheels last week thing looked good. I like the tactical green on the Frontier had I found a King Cab with last years once in a life time discount close to me I would probably be driving one. Always liked the AG on Toyotas even if I complain about it being glossy.

Some SR XC have the reciever and some don't. Seems hit or miss, some have the brake controller and reciever and some just have the reciever.

I saw a 3rd Gen a couple days ago that someone had painted a Copper color, think it was maybe a Chrysler color, looked surprisingly good.

Idk I’m pretty torn on the looks of the new 4Runner. If I had to describe it, it’d be a ChatGPT rendering of a 5th Gen 4Runner.

TRD Sport was by far the nicest looking trim for the 2nd and 3rd Gens but the Off Road trim on the 4th Gens seems to be the nicer looking one out of the bunch (Exlcluding the Pro).

Seems like a lot of people aren't wild about the front end mustache look on the 6th gen 4runners but like the rest of the vehicle.

I'd be willing to bet a popular mod on the 6th gens will be swapping the front end out for a Tacoma front end.
