4th Gen Underground thread

My new 25 OR 6speed, all stock except the TRD skid and 285/70s. Has to sell my access cab to fit my new daughter.

 

Damn, that looks pretty good. I’m debating swapping the wheels when I finally get my truck but they look pretty good with the beefier tires might save the $$

Only other accessories are some Tufskinz mudflaps. Wasn't even going to swap tires, but after one commute to work in the snow, they had to go.

 

If they had like +35 instead of 55 they'd be perfect.

 

Added a WildTop Topper for a camper build. Built my single/double sleeper build and a little custom piece to the back to add a little air flow for summer camping. Added the fog lights. Want to add some rims at some point, torn between bronze toyota rims and some all black methods. After that main mod is paying the rest off!

Put the SEMA wheels on today. Really fixed the look.

 

Looks really are subjective. I think stock trd. Off road wheels are ugly and the fitment looks bad. +55 is just awful looking. It needs to be minimum +25

 

No auto manufacturer sells a vehicle with "poke". That may be because of DOT regulations or because most buyers don't want wheels/tires that stick out past the fenders. +55 keeps the tires inside the fender flares where they belong.

Edit: My Pro tires are flush with the flares. The wheels have 35mm less offset than the OR but the flares are 1in wider. For the OR to have (proper) flush tires you need 35mm - 1in = 10mm less offset or +45s (but I don't think they make those).

 

They look great! I brought mine over from my old truck. Were you able to find locking lug nuts for yours? I'm on the hunt for ones that will fit.

 

What’s the poke like with those wheels? I’ve always loved the look but didn’t think they worked on the new trucks

 

Good looking truck. I haven't looked for locking lugs yet. But I suppose you can get some and have them machined down a little if you really wanted them.

 

Where do you guys get your tires installed and balanced at? Local tire shops ( mavis, discount tire, sts, Costco, etc) or dealership?

 

Getting excited about High clearance tubed bumpers for this thing.
