Is that that Herndon? If that's where you stay, you need to check out Jimmy's in Old Town! Some of the best wings, and I'm not bias because he's a family friend

Back in 2022 I put money down on a future allocation for a fully tarted up TRD Sport 6MT; 8 months later it showed up at the dealership. They asked how I was going to pay for it and I told them unless they could get me the (then) current Toyota Financial interest rate of 2.49%, I'd pay cash for the Tacoma. They squirmed a bit (I assume they would have preferred to use a different lender charging a higher interest rate), but got me the TFS rate, so now I have my first car payment in many years. The good news is the Tacoma will be paid off in 18 months and I'll once again be car-payment free. :)

Haha I'm well , just in between jobs right now. Love the free time, hate the lack of cash flow. How's your pond and business doing?

I totally get that; I've only been "between jobs" once in my life and I think the stress of not knowing what was next was way worse than trying to wrap up a current job by some arbitrary end date so I could start the new gig on the next day. It looks I'm going to be faced with that yet again in the very near future; I am about to start two new projects for clients of my current company, both of which are slated to run until this fall, the problem is, it appears likely I'm going to be given a very nice job offer from one of the Tech giants with a target start date of 15-June, and it will be a definite panic to try and transfer my knowledge of those two clients to others in the short time I'll have between submitting my resignation and starting the new gig.

I hear ya. I'm working part time in Frederick to make things work.

The pond is awesome! I love it! The toads spawning in my pond love it! Just added some more plants to help setup a good mini ecosystem. It looks sparse, but it takes time for the plants to mature. The fountain is still unfinished cause I'm undecided on how to finish it, but it still runs the stream which makes the whole thing awesome.

I've got way too many projects for the yard. May need to cut myself off. :D:rofl:

You still looking to make it back out west? Or sticking around for a while?

Thanks man. I've got some hits, but luckily I saved enough to be a little picky with getting an increase in salary.

Just expect for them to text you with some questions for the two weeks haha. Luckily youre getting a better job!

That's exciting, I'll be lurking on your thread to see the growth! Id love to go back west, but more than likely will stay on the East Coast. I just want to get back out of VA!

Good morning MD. Getting close to ordering tires. More of a need than a want at this time. While the STMaxx's served me very well I want to try something different. I have decided to stick with my stock wheels and I am going 255/85/16. I really want a C range this time so I am limited. Falken Wildpeaks look to be an option in C range. You guys have any real world experience with them?

    Hey Mike! @Backdoc

So, you like the "skinnies" huh?

I have no say in this...but at some point, I will get new wheels & tires myself.

And yes, "C" Range is what I've read is a better sidewall for daily driving.

    Good luck and post pics!

You look into Coopers? My current tires are amazing, but are E’s… so a little heavy and rough (in winter). But I’ve been running Coopers forever now on our’s and family’s vehicles, and never had an issue. And the mileage been getting out of them has always been outstanding!
