As long as you don't owe anything you're good for 3 years without filing. Just ask a coworker of mine...he does it all the time.

Something I've done in the past and anyone can do is.
    Temporarily changing filing status.

If you have a few weeks of serious overtime and want all of it. Go to your payroll person and change your filing status to -0- and claim exempt for those weeks.
Just remember to have her change it back.

I wonder what the penalty is if you don't file, even though you'd be getting a return?

Wouldn't this just end up evening out at the end of the year?

Also, my payroll person is a guy.;)

Lol. I was trying to be gender neutral by saying payroll person but then I said 'her' anyhow.

It would probably even out. I'm just saying if you needed money right then...

But you can't just magically be exempt from taxes. That's a great way to get a sternly worded letter in the mail and a stuff knock on the door

I've done it before....The payroll person forgot to change it back, one time and I went over a month claiming exempt.

We always get a return, so if anything, it made the return smaller....if you typically owe taxes, then NO, I don't recommend it.

That's fair. But the second you owe them $0.27 it's game over

negative. zero demand these days and once it switched to the royalty / licensing system with all these tuning networks. you got way more headaches to deal with, more restrictions / requirements and way less profit. they also all wanted exclusivity and there was so much drama around which one is "best" and a constant ask for updates that everyone wanted for free.

prices also skyrocketed. started at $250. now its $500+ and most of that is going to licensing costs.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
So, I'll be traveling to Colorado for a family thing and will have a few days after to explore. Anyone got off road stuff to recommend out there that a solo, amateur, semi-basic bish can do? Figured I'd ask here before delving into a Colorado centric forum and looking online.

Saw this bottle jack gizmo on Amazon and thought it may come in handy. I don't trust the small contact point of the factory jack.
