    That's not Toyota's fault.

Do you think vehicles should remain the same nominal price in the face of inflation?

If they want me to buy them, yes. Thankfully there are discounts. Which would imply the manufacturer knows this as well.

    This.

And use the Ignore function for the posturbater trolls. Makes the whole TW experience better.

$5000 off most Tacomas at my local dealer.

Given I could sell my 3rd generation for close to 28K I almost bought a new SR.

You should if you want to. Or you could spend your time talking shit about the decisions other people make with money that isn’t yours to satisfy desires that aren’t yours

And I got almost 10% off my 2019 brand new. What’s your point? They are discounting 2025s like they were in 2019.

My wife has a 5G 4Runner (will be replaced with a GX550 later this year) so I sometimes visit 4Runners forums. I think the 5G/6G hate may be worse than the 3G/4G Tacoma hate. I suspect some of the pre-gen hate is from those with a lot of mods (more prevalent on 4Rs). They know they won't get any of that money back and none of it, not even the wheels, will transfer over to the new gen.

I see more and more of the 2025 Tacomas on the road. I think they are nice looking trucks. A buddy of mine just got one, and I had the chance to try it out. It seemed nice. I didn't see much difference between his and my 3rd gen V6, but that was only a 10 minute drive, so was hardly a comprehensive review. I'm still happy with mine, and he likes his, so life is good.

I saw a GX550 yesterday and had an epiphany. Why would anyone buy a GX over a LC 250? I know the GX has a twin turbo, and the Lexus appointments and prestige. I like both vehicles equally, but the majority of GX 550s I see are just going to Wegman's and the 250 could do the same job. Admittedly the GX is more badass in OT trim. Reminded me of this thread and the "hate" for the Pro. I think it's even been mentioned before about putting the non hybrid GX motor in the Tacoma Pro.

GX over LC, for all the same reasons as Rolex over Tudor, 911 over Cayman, Midleton over Jameson, etc.

    Lexus buying experience.
    Lexus service experience.
    Lexus ownership experience.

And that's ignoring the GX being a superior vehicle in terms of drivetrain, warranty, features and appearance.

So besides a larger engine, better warranty, better fit and finish, why would anyone buy one? Unless I'm missing your sarcasm, my detector is a little wonky.

I see the want for more from the same package and I like the GX better over the LC 250, same as the Pro over the OR hybrid, it's the same truck but more, with the exception of the drive train. Both trucks will get you to the grocery store just the same, but that's not the point. That's when I thought put the GX motor in the Pro to compete with the Ranger Raptor. I'm sure that would increase the price, but that could put more people in the Pro.

You may see a few Pros sitting at a few dealers but for the most part, I don't think Toyota has any trouble selling Pros. Would advertising that it has two more cylinders, 23 more horsepower, and 14 more lb-ft torque bring more people to the dealerships - which is why they are built in the first place?

Wouldn't a more expensive engine would make the Pro more expensive and then less people could afford it?

Is a V6 twin turbo more expensive than a turbo 4 hybrid? They may be about the same price but Toyota is chasing epa numbers.

I don't think either Ford or Toyota releases how many Raptors or Pros they make. I'm seeing that Pros make up 0.71% of Tacoma sales and they sold 193,000 last year, so 1,370 Pros? Assuming Ford sells the same number of Raptors and they both lose money on Raptor/Pro builds (Ford probably losing more), Toyota is way ahead on their "marketing" investment.

If Toyota did offer a V6TT Pro, even if it was more money, I would have bought it. I bought what they offered and they still got the sale. Sounds like they knew what they were doing.

I imagine going to tt v-6 or tt v-8 from a tt v-4 is like two rotors vs 4-rotors :bikewheelie:

That all makes sense and I agree. Doesn't the Pro and LC 250 make the same power? If it does. Why put the tt6 in the GX if it's only 23 more HP? Now I want to see the tt6 in the Tacoma, but why would Toyota continue to sell the Tundra if the Tacoma had a ttv6? I will say it's good for consumers to have choices.

Really? Why in your opinion? I love the look of the 3g and 4g Pro and more premium models, the SR and base stream base to me.

    Edit-no i won't sell you my 2021 pro.

Seriously, most manufacturers are building there. Plus i like my women also Mexican built.

I actually was talking to that dealer, they are a few hours away but worked up a tentative deal, not quite enough for me to pull the trigger, fees not bad IMO. My turck trade in was 40k, theirs is 61k, less difference and a few fees, 22k plus my 10k current loan to be back into a 30k+ loan seems dumb.
