Can someone that needed a rebuild of the Magnusson describe the sounds you were hearing that indicated the need? I have a grinding that varies with idle speed and load. Sometimes it is obvious at startup. Other times it starts after a few miles and it's to varying degrees of loudness.
S/C has ~75k mi. I've changed the oil 2-3 times, swapped in the solid coupler.

I have serviced all my pulleys. Belts are new. Using the Rousch tensioner and double roller. Jon Bon mentioned tensioners as a possibility. I have an OEM on hand. Decided to just change the OE tensioner pulley last time I was in there. Did not want to remove the compressor at that time.

I also have an intermittent AC engagement. Less likely to turn on in winter; when using defrost. Wondering if the compressor pully is grinding.

Thanks for the vid. Mine is less clacky and more of a spinning grind. Like dry gears. I need to get a vid loaded to youtube and share. Or is there a way to post directly? I think a location other that TW needs to host.

Yeah I don’t know of a way to post videos to TW.
Mine was definitely in need of new rotor pack bearings.
What you hear is the slop in the bearings on either end of the rotors in my video.
You can hear the sound best when the camera moves to the back of the rotor.
The ticking clack sound is just a normal top end noise from the 1GR lol.
The rotor is almost more a background noise in the video

the best way I can describe it, is take some gravel in a 5 gallon bucket then roll it down your driveway.
Not so fast that the rocks fling up and drop down, but just tumble along the bottom.

After getting a couple weeks in with the charger, looks like I am getting 3.2-3.5 pounds reliably on the gauge. Which is great! But I didn't put this thing in to go halfsies with it.

Obvious comment - move to a smaller pulley. Does anyone have any reliable data on pulley size + elevation = approximate top end boost range? I've been recommended anywhere from 2.8 to 2.6, all good recommendations I am sure just trying to get a little more accurate with it. I know the smaller I go, the more extra things I need to do to support that change in size. Trying not to break the bank, but I want all the oomph out of this thing I should be getting. Short of replacing my exhaust system but - my cats are 15 years old. So I'm going to ask that question too, if I am in range of needing to replace those, whats the better upgrade path for less resistance in the exhaust system?

For specs, 15 years old but only 131k miles on it.

As of right now looking at the smoothpulley modular, so Ill be trimming the snout. What range will the tensioner and existing belt handle before I just plain need a smaller belt?

Unrelated to the pulley - I did notice one of the removeable ring seats for the new fuel injectors just kind of sat funny when I installed the charger. I inspected it while running and no leaking but I can see around that ringseal to the bottom of where it sits. Should I replace that? It seems to be performing fine, I'm not hearing any funny performance or getting any codes relating to fuel. But I'm wondering if I should due diligence just get new ones. Theres maybe a 32nd between one side and the wall.

Probably where I am headed. Are you running a smaller belt to compensate for the pulley?

No. YMMV, but I have no slip with a RIP-modded pulley, stock belt, stock tensioner, and @Roostfactor's Pulley Wrap Mod.

Looks like there’s a white dclb with a good hood and passenger fender in white!

I searched carport for 2012 Tacoma 77611 zip, then navigated to body > hood and this one popped up in Houston.

If you can make a 2013 exhaust manifold work, I have a set I can part with. Seems doable.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...atible-with-2010-tacoma-air-injection.764778/

Helps that I am very close by as well.

i.e. AF dude that works on the base.

Edit: They are still on my truck but it gives me reason to now finally install my AFE Twisted Steel Headers with the GESI cats
