    Hi everyone!

I'm new to this forum and looking for some advice. I need some ideas or product suggestions for mounting my spare tire in the 5-foot bed of my ’22 TRD Off Road.

I’m not interested in using a swing-out mount. I’ve been considering various mounts, including some from Rough Country – either baja style or side-mounted. However, I’d love to hear what others recommend or if there are any better solutions to safely mount my 285/75/R16 tire while freeing up some bed space.

Thanks in advance for your help!

PRP under their speedstrap brand makes a 3 point ratchet strap that secures the tire flat in the bed.
There's a member on here that made mounts to use the bed rails and stand it up also. Don't remember the name.

The first option would keep an unobstructed view.

I just use a ratchet strap and lay it in the back of my bed under my tonneau cover. If I need to use the bed I just stand it up and strap it to the side. It was just a pain in the a** for me to have it under the truck hence my strapping it down in back. I’ve never had it move an inch since I did this 2 years ago. If I had the cash I’d buy a diamond back cover and mount it on top of that.

Thanks all! Yeah, I've considered the 3-point strap and the Diamond Back cover with the tire mounted on top (or coolers for that matter) looks pretty sick!

Just keep in mind that spiritof1876 affixes to the front rail of the bed which is a very weak spot in the bed would not trust it to hold my spare over time. The 2nd guy who built his own would be the way to go seriously overbuilt with multiple attachment points.
