    neglect, mostly.
    it's not that our trucks have the famed 5.7 ltr hemi, of course not, but yeah it does have hemispherical combustion chamber i believe. hemi just means the pistons are shaped rounded which results in better fuel use, air mixture and power.

    It's not a true Hemi as in the old classic Hemi's. It does however have "half hemispherical" shaped heads. At least that is my understanding, my last truck was a Hemi Ram. Real or not, that thing would run and had some torque. Everyone can rag on Dodge, but they do make some powerful engines, that is for sure.

    It's all Chrysler marketing. The modern HEMI engine doesn't have the hemispherical combustion chamber like back in the 70's...they are built like every other modern engine.

    Its not the pistons, but rather the Combustion chamber itself. A "Hemispherical" combustion chamber also known as "Hemi", "Pent roof", etc.

    Yes. The 2.7 is also a Pent roof Combustion chamber, as is most all modern engines.

    then why does dodge only put HEMI on there trucks if its the 5.7L? why not the 5.9L? they only call it the magnum
