I plan to put the carpet back in this truck and just trim around the cage. That’s what I did on mine.

Was thinking 5k for the kings and deavers together. They’re the 3.0IBP fronts and 3.0 2 tune bypass rears. Includes all hardware/bushings for the deavers and kings.

With all the engine issues I'm seeing with the new tundy I wouldn't touch anything in that department including the exhaust. Toyota is forking out tons of money and at some point they might want to point a finger and deny coverage for something simple as an exhaust. I've never seen that nor have I heard anything but just saying, I wouldn't want to be stuck with a short block r/r customer pay.

That B pillar looks headbanger ish.

King 3.0 2 Tube Bypass shocks with reservoirs - 2000
Deaver J66 leafsprings with hardware and bushings - 850

    If you buy everything, 6k.

    Shocks alone, 4500.

    Shocks and springs, 5000.

B pillar tube is way in the back seat. Even with my tall ass seats will be mounted way forward of this (and truck owner). Wish this kit was available 5 years ago when I did my cage. Omitting a few tubes and making a few for this guy but overall, once main tubes are in place this puzzle fits very well and is thought out.

I don't believe that a cage in a truck is the safest for a daily driver. That Toyota built the truck with the maximum headroom to be the safest in an accident and building a cage makes that safe space much smaller putting your head closer to metal. My truck has a well built roll bar in the bed that will protect occupants in a roll over off-road accident. That combined with the front bumper that sits grille height. A t-bone accident on the street, in my opinion, would be bad with a cage and no helmet.

Can’t really agree here. Unless my seat tears off the mounts my head is less likely to hit something than in a stock truck with 3 point belts.

While Toyota did make a safe truck, they made it safe not taking into consideration massive modifications in suspension, tire size etc.

IMO all of the above greatly reduces safety as a whole on and off road.

I've been round and round on other threads about my cage beliefs so I'm not going to debate again. This is what I feel is safest for me and my family. 75% of any off road trip I take is on the highway.

I actually have more headroom with my cage than I did with the stock headliner. Regardless was just curious why you thought that way. To each his own.
