It's hard to find on their website, but is the top result through search engines.

3rz to 2Rz bebuilt block and new heads
When I broke in my 2rz.....I used the royal purple for 1st 500mi...because the head was new

the high zinc is for 'flat tappet' breakin supposedly

Then I switched to the Valvoline VR1 racing conventual ...... next 3500mi
I'd call O'reily's a day a head of time....and they'd have it at the store next day
......thats how I got the purple.....next day they'd have it there.

these were engineered with conventual in mind

    at 4K I switch to syn blend........any brand....doesnt matter

at 25K I'll switch to pensoil platinum or the new Valvoline extended performance synthetic

    s-l1600 (3).jpg

I'm a big fan of synthetic......runs cooler and so many others...
    .......but, not tooo early

When the engine hits 50K.......I'll run couple qts of that new valvoline 'Restore' thru it for 1K for shits and giggles......

So I pulled the wire out of the knock sensor when I was pulling the engine. Do you know how to get the wire back in the sensor? @t0p_d0g

connector side. Sensor side has no wires anyways… it screws into the block and the connector plugs into it.

    generally if nothing is broken...
Just pull the insert out of the face of the connector...
Slide the wire with the attached pin back onto the connector housing fully...
& then re-install the insert to lock it in place...
If it doesnt stay locked in with a slight tug, somethings messed up...

so the wire came out of the connector.
Theyre really tiny pins & im guessing your not equipped to repair...
Pull the insert out of the face of the connector & then with a pick push what left of the pin out the back of the connector shell.
Probably easier to just run down to toyota & buy a new connector assy, they will come with wires already inserted, just splice in the new connector.

May even need to push it out the face side, from the backside...
Just need to figure it out without further damaging it,,,,
