We are all that matters, the rest of them are just posers that hang out at malls.

and throwing other ideas out there....
You might be on to something with the shift lever button acting up and not the starter....
Mine still gets grumpy with me. Today, I noticed if I only press on the brake a little before starting (and not down to the floor) the truck starts right up.

Do Tacos have issues with the neutral safety switch? Mine is currently on its way out.

I've seen some threads on it, but overall I don't know if it's common.

I'll dig into more if it quits starting. :)

When Dan mentioned that sensor it made me think that and the brake pedal are the 2 things that need to be in the right place in order for the truck to start.
I haven't followed the wires to see where they go.........if it quits starting.....

It definitely sounds like a different issue than what I'm dealing with.

Occasionally, when I shift gears, the selected gear will not display on the dash. Sometimes, it won't go into overdrive. A few weeks ago, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, although it still drove normal. But, after a day or two that cleared itself up.

Then, this past weekend, while driving around Thursday evening, it seemed to reach a new level where not only was the dash not displaying the selected gear, but it was actually staying in neutral when the shifter was technically in gear. I got it to behave and we made it back to camp ok.

It has been behaving normally for the last couple of days. But, I know I am on borrowed time with that thing (the neutral safety switch).

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I did my 5 way rotate today. I found out that Discount Tire did me a favor by taking my TPMS sensor off the stock wheel I brought them to mount my same-sized spare. So, now I have to go back tomorrow and have them put a new one back in. It disappoints me because I'm sure that I told them I intended on doing 5 way rotates in the future.
    Oh, well...

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
I do the same, but been lucky and never had that problem with Discount Tire place has been good about the TPMS.

    Mother load.
At a friends yesterday to grab that high lift jack, I originally didn't want.....
Walked out with the jack, a mini fridge(so the wife stops using my Anker as a beverage cooler),
4' keller step ladder(to go with my others), LaCrosse hikers and a GoPro Hero 3 (just needs a battery).
    All for $120

My buddy also had a 10' x 10' canopy for camping. If anyone is interested, I'll go get a better look at it.
