I have been going over what we have been talking about about on there with him in the shop

 

You should have seen Monica's arms when Olivia was born. The nurse took 4 attempts in the right arm, could not get it 2 attempts in the left and then had to have another nurse do it. Thankfully the anesthesiologist was better at his job.

 

I know it's not their primary focus to just draw blood or give shots all the time but they do it often enough to be really good at it (in theory).

Get a bunch of drunk Marines together for a quick period of instruction and we're doing shit better than a phlebotomist with years of experience.

All this talk of blood drawing, anyone here a needle-phobe? I'm not at all but my wife is, in the 8 years we've been together the only time I've ever seen her come close to actual panic is when getting blood drawn.

personally I don't mind it and I'm one of those weird people that has to watch them do it, I ain't turning and looking away while some stranger sticks a little blade in me

 

I do blood labs every couple months and I have to look away, in part because its awful to watch when they fumble it lol.

not afraid of needles though, I have to self inject two of my meds and watch mysef intently lol

same, watching someone else try/do/ be on IV I do not enjoy, but the 2 times I've plumbed myself for an IV, not an issue

 

There were multiple recruiting events at my high-school where all the branches showed up

I remember wanting to but simultaneously thinking there's no way they'd be trying this hard to get a bunch of nieve kids if it was worth it
