I guess it's time for me to get serious about finding the best remedy for me since this is an all the time thing now.

 

Post volleyball analysis: I played pretty good for having arms full of poison. Had to wear sleeves. But overall, not bad. Even my serve was on tonight.

You talking about me? Lol. I come for the polls, but I like your woodwork and pond. And turtles.

Apparently about a third of people are not bothered by poison ivy/oak/sumac. I didn't realize this until I was standing on the side of a trail as a group with a guide went by, and the guide called out, "Hey Chief, you're standing in poison ivy!" Didn't bother me at all, thought I was special (especially since she called me Chief), so I looked it up when I got home. Apparently not so special, and this can change over time, so I'm still careful. And allergic to plenty of other pollen, which is super bad right now.

I think my poison is going through it's cycle super fast. It's a couple days ahead. Using different topical treatments this time so this is probably good.

I wish I were unaffected like you. I think that's special.

On your arms? I got into poison ivy in MD and even the roots have bad stuff for me.

Mostly on my arms but a little spread. Yeah the roots will get ya too!

 

Figured it out. It was poison ivy roots i pulled out of the ground in the back that I forgot about when I was weeding the garden there. I don't recognize it by its roots, but I remember now there was a big old ivy back there I tried to take out last year.

But some of it is already to the weeping stage, so it's healing faster than normal.

 

I did a really good job resisting scratching it this morning.
