Anyone Else Into Old School BMX

Grabbed this yesterday

 

Some cables & brake levers, and you're set.

Gonna flip it or ride it?

 

Needs a front caliper too. I have a Rotor all ready to drop on it, but I need the stem for the Potts/Rotor holes which I either have or will buy.

Gonna ride ride ride. This completes my personal Three Lock Box of my past.

 

My 88 GT Vertigo ST, had it since I was a kid, but with out the mods.
Recently upgraded to 3 piece crank, Tomahawk wheels, fork standers and frame standers, along with the black pegs. Originally magenta, had it painted in 2000 with canary yellow marine gelcoat.

 

Just finished this Torker Eddy King, for a friend. Laced up the Z-Rims with new spokes & nipples. Frame up build with some nice parts on it.

 

Pulled this oldie out the closet. Thought it was appropriate for the season. Early to Mid 90's would be my guess, 95 was the last year I worked at the shop that sold Elf bikes

Not mine, my kid's but he's only gonna be 2 so this will have to sit for a few years which means it'll be old school for him

 

Maybe not the coolest bmx bike out at the time as this one had gears but i was super excited when my dad got me this for christmas back in the 80s

 

Still a fun ride. How many of us didn't have a Huffy/Murray/AMF?
