4th gen - aftermarket wheel and tire pics

I found them on Facebook from a guy whose 4G was totaled. Drove to Virginia to pick up the wheels.

 

It felt heavy with stock wheels. Total was 88-90 lbs. now 73-75 lbs w RRW wheels and it felt lot better and lighter.

the tires is SL.

 

That’s a sweet find. I settled and got the flow form version instead of mono forged.

 

What are the specs on the stock TRD OR 17" wheels? Weight, width? I believe the offset is +55mm.

I was told it was 35lbs?

 

For some reason my camera doesn’t pick up the LCD on my scale very well? 27.4lbs

 

Where do you guys get your tires installed and balanced at? Local tire shops ( mavis, discount tire, sts, Costco, etc) or dealership?

Do you have E rated KO3 tires? That might be why they feel rough

 

I think its the E rated KO3 that ride harsh. The C rated tires have a different tread pattern if I recall correctly

 

I had tires replaced on my 4th gen with a new set of Nitto Terra Grappler G3s and the local Discount Tire / America's Tire scrached the hell out of my stock wheels. Cannot recommend them at all. They just want to rush the job and get you in/out as quick as possible. This was even after telling them my truck was new with 300 miles and to be careful with my wheels!

Installed New shoes for my Tacoma today.
17x8.5 Matte Bronze Wheel RRW RR2-H with 0 offset. 285/70/17 falken wildpeak AT4W.

 

Looking good! Can you take pic of the front and see if it pokes out?
