Listed more stuff on FB marketplace. So far today I brought in $110. It’s nice getting money for things I have no use for.

It’s crazy because the things I think will sell quickly don’t and what I think is junk goes quick. Weird.

Yeah, I expect to sit on some of my stuff for a bit. Mainly because of my area and the fact that the closest hive of Tacomas is 100 miles away. I go there often enough that I am fine delivering it, but it adds a level of difficulty.

Yeah. I couldnt believe i did that
The bumper has a partiallu punched hole in the cover that im sure could be fixed and the one by the door is slightly dented but not that by much either. More scratched than anything.

I trail ride with a 1st gen KLR occasionally, they do well, even with upgraded suspension they dont go fast, but they always catch up.

Im usually 1.5-2hrs before I need a stop and a stretch, usually about the time I start thinking about gas. I'm all for taking breaks and admiring scenery.

As far as gas goes, I've got an ADV bike, I'm sure we could rig a spare gallon of gas somewhere on it. I've been looking for a reason to get one of those Giant Loop bladders.

I always see those 30 oz MSR bottles for fuel shown in pics on adventure bikes, like attached in those molle pouches and such. That backpack I just bought has a spot for one (or a water bottle). Do people actually use those often for fuel? 30 oz is only about 1/4 gallon. That'd prolly get me 15+ miles, I guess. Maybe 12 for my wife.

Those seem more popular with the dirtbike crowd, though I think the MSR bottles have bled over into the ADV/Overland type aesthetic deal. I agree, it doesn't provide much useable range. I figure at least a gallon is where the cutoff for useful for the space comes into play. 1 gal gets me 40-45mi of extra range on my AT. That said, an MSR bottle weighs nothing, and beats walking 10mi I suppose.

I kinda feel like 2 of them would be the bare minimum for any real safety. I do like those little 1 gallon rotopax, but honestly I doubt I'd ever need it. As mentioned before, I can't believe how little range my wife's rig has, lol. 130-ish miles seems like nothing to me. But it should get from gas station to gas station without any issue as long as we don't forget to fillup. With the CB500X I feel like I could get well over double her miles and still have a quarter or more tank of fuel, lol.

Ordered a Windrider seat cover in preparation of summer riding season. Looking forward to seeing how it works vs stock. Nothing like contributing to the "ADV bros stand up everywhere" meme, but really I'm just trying to cool off in my cordura pants!
