Sometimes I do genuinely get worried about my hearing lol. Would be a shame to ruin my young ears

My uncle called me last night to see if I was interested in going through his barn.. he retired two years ago and seems to be coming to the realization he doesn't have the time, energy, or dexterity to take on all the projects he's saved up over the years.

So I did the only logical thing. The trailer got decked and I broke out my temporary tow lights

Hmm which one should I buy??? Reminds me of my last trip to Bass Pro. The 200 rd box of 9mm was 39.99. The 100 rd box was 17.99 and the 50 rd box was 9.99. People left and right were grabbing the 200 rd boxes. In fact the shelf was almost empty. Well being an edumacated individual I grabbed 10 100 rd boxes (a 1000 rds) and took a picture of the price tag. They rang up at 19.99! Oh not so fast my cashier friend! Showed them the picture of the tag and they corrected the price. Caveat Emptor!! Carpe Diem!!

Slightly larger footprint than the previous mini shop vac, but totally worth it to be able to stack them.

Morning shop! We made it to Friday.. and it's gonna be a fun one! Boss just texted me that he's not coming today. I'm just gonna focus on keeping the place from burning down, any jobs that get done are icing on the cake haha.

Wife wants to go to home depot this weekend. Maybe I can negotiate for one of them fancy dust suckers for me..

    I'm impressed, but sadly disappointed.

With all the free paint bucket that can be sourced with ease, why buy a brand new bucket.

Even HF has free buckets every other month.

It's still an awesome cheap mid to battle dust!

Actually a clear bucket would be the best to see how full it is. Their website shows they have these in stock.. I may have to look for them the next time I go and swap them out.

You could always cut out a window, then RTV a piece of clear plastic in place.

I know people do that for their drums on their dust collectors and it works pretty well... they just do the top 6 or 8 inches , but for the buckets, it would be simple to swap them out. I can always use the orange buckets for other things.
A guy can never have too many buckets or wood clamps.

On one of my old wildland fire trucks, it had a 3oo gallon water tank and inside that a 10 gallon foam tank. the foam tank had a window in it that was sealed and bolted and then a small external pump to pump form a 5 gallon pail to the top of the truck. Really swell set up.. except.. the manufacturer used plexiglass and all the holes were drilled the same size in the plexiglass and the tank.. the first time I took it out into a field and flexed the truck, that plexiglass broke because it's brittle like that.. and that foam, which is corrosive, leaked out on the flatbed of the truck, under the water tank and mounted tool boxes and hose reals and everywhere else it could get... The solution was tot replace the plexiglass with Lexan and drill the bolt holes for the Lexan slightly larger than the bolt size to give it more flexibility.
