This unit is 18,000 BTUs, equivalent in cooling capacity to a 1.5-ton central A/C; I have NEVER encountered anything smaller than a 3-ton central A/C that was this heavy!

I actually bought this complete system for $75 with the intention of giving parts to my friend Gwyn has a similar Gibson unit, and scrapping it, but she didn’t need the parts; I picked it up in Levittown and still expect to turn a profit scrapping it…

I don’t know exactly what year this system is from, but I remember seeing “1999” somewhere…

A pickup truck and a reciprocating saw are two things that no scrapper should be without!

    Made in Feb of '00.

Year of manufacture can be determined by using the 4th & 5th positions of the serial number

Month of manufacture can be determined by using the 6th & 7th positions of the serial number

Side note, that black plastic screen around the condenser coil can bite my ass. Stuff gets stuck between the mesh and coil and you can not get it clean short of total disassembly. Lennox was what I usually see it on around here. Nordyne is not a big deal here.
