For peeps out there with Yetis that are non-UDH, there are adapters you can get to install Transmission. As a certified bike wrench, it is by far, the easiest drivetrain to install and other than changing batteries, absolutely zero maintenance.

Anybody have thoughts on the new SRAM 90 mechanical drivetrain stuff? On paper it seems super simple to setup, seems to require little to no ongoing adjustment, and you can shift effectively under load. I've been thinking about ditching my Sram NX groupset, this might be what finally pushes me to do it....

    not enough.
Goign from NX to 90 might be a good proposition if you wanna. I looked at it going from GX and it didn't make sense. costs more, weights tiny bit more. not worth it. but from NX, I can see that upgrade nicety.

The pinkbike podcast from a week or two ago is pretty good. It was recorded when we thought every country would have a tariff, prior to the delay for most countries. They brought in the owner of outbound lighting and he made some good points about how much companies with lower tariffs will be able to gain against American companies since American companies will have to pay the high China tariffs where a European company has low tariffs from China to Europe then low from Europe to US. He also pointed out how some exceptions are ridiculous, like since he assembles the lights in the US they have to pay higher tariffs on the components since it isn't considered bicycle safety equipment until it is assembled. I guess bicycle safety equipment was exempted from Tariffs at one point.

While it doesn’t look much better than XO, I still appreciate the effort to make another good mechanical drivetrain.

Don't give up on the Pinkbike Buy/Sell! I had my Transition Transam frame on there since November 2024. I got some lowball and trade offers right off the bat then, nothing. Crickets for 4 months. I sold it on Monday. Full price. Maybe I was lucky, but patience paid off.

Seriously, just dropped an e-bike too which id assume is a huge investment. Such a shame.

After a couple hours of fighting it, I finally got cush core installed in the rear. Not sure if it happened during this install or last year, but the axel is broken, lol. Just a little past the xd driver and the cassette is still on. Any ideas on how to get it off? Maybe my chain whip is cheap and I should put a scrap eagle chain on it, because I can't get it to come off with it and the cassette tool.

I'd probably start with something like this:
    https://www.mcmaster.com/products/e...s-for-soft-materials-and-thin-walled-parts-6/

    https://www.mcmaster.com/products/easy-out-extractors/

Edit: Wait I just woke up, haha. Whats keeping it in the cassette? Looks like you could just hammer it out.
