@Kwikvette I think Im gunna send it on the Langmuir pro table today. Any reason to get limit switches? Any reason not to?

 

I don't use limit switches. I installed them and wired them up, but I was changing my work area so much, they were just in the way.

Soft limits work perfectly for me.

The computer program know the size of the table.

 

Table's too small for limit switches.

They create more issues than they aim to fix.

Not worth getting.

 

No limit switches it is then. Save that money for assembly beer.

 

It'll take you 1 beer to assemble, super easy!

Just make sure it's fully square and completely level.

 

We shall see when it gets in. Officially ordered.

Can't buy the new table without the old one going first, and no one wants to buy a used one without seeing it running first so it's like dammit.

I even pulled off all the wiring and the torch already

 

Dont you have pretty recent videos of it? I guess its a little different when you are just a stranger vs a stranger that you talk to on the internet sometimes.

 

Yep, that 3/8" piece I cut was just from a few days ago and I have the physical part (and scrap) to go with.

Still doesn't satisfy many.

You need to personally see it to NH. You can bring the little kid. We just got a dozen chicks.

If you don't know anything about CAD/CAM, get very familiar with it!

If you know it well, then I would just go back and thoroughly check out your air setup. Being that you're in the East Coast, you're going to need as much help as you can get for getting your air as dry as possible.

 

I do cad every day for work. CAM i used a good amount and it seems a lot simpler than cnc machining.

Unfortunately you won't be able to play with Firecontrol without being connected to a table but don't fret, it's completely self-explanatory.

 

Where are you in NH? I am in upstate NY but Vermont isn’t terribly large. I use an all in one compressor with A/C dryer. I found a good deal on it as a rotary compressor setup single phase from a business trying to move out from a lease termination.
