ESN is CDMA, based on his screen shot he has AT&T which is a GSM network. No ESN on GSM. Only IMEI and the SIM number.

ESN = IMEI in the functional sense of the word. They can both be blacklisted.

Sorta....In the respect that they can each be blacklisted on their respective networks.

either way you can definatly call your provider and they will have the imei of the phone to be able to shut it down. so call your provider and tell them you lost your phone. but what sucks is punk ass bitch nick probally won't give the buyer their money back once they get their new phone shut off lol.

It was an iPhone 4 with a Magpul case. Last week, I turned it off and left it in a locker at the local gym. When I came back, someone had pried the lock off. They took my phone and about 10 bucks outta my wallet. I went to the apple store the same day and picked up a new one, which set me back about $450.

I was browsing craigslist this morning and thought "hey, I wonder if my phones on here", and sure enough there it was. It was hard to tell from the low res pictures but it looked like the magpul case (which NO ONE has around here), I emailed the guy and asked for some more pics, and if it came with a charger. There's a small tear on the side of it which would've been the giveaway. He refused to send me pics. He said "400, no pics, no charger, take it or leave it". Even if it wasn't MY phone, I'm definitely sure it was stolen. So I said sure, we exchanged numbers and I told him I'd call him when I got home from school. That was the last contact I had with him before receiving that text.

you should make up a story to him, tell him you know he stole it, and cops were informed, just threaten the bastard with the law. I'm sure there's a way to get him.

Blacklist it nonetheless. Even if he won't give back the money he got from the buyer, maybe the buyer will beat the shit outta him for selling him a stolen phone

WOW! That blows goats! Man Id be sick if someone took my Iphone....I do everything on that thing. I even use it out in the Garage to reference TW when Im moding the TACO. Not to mention the 1015 pictures I have on that thing. There is so much on my iphone id feel I was lost in life if it was gone. I guard it like gold! Sorry to hear about this man, wish you the best outcome if any. Be shure to shut that shit down! Maybe you can have it traced? IDK my brother works for Sprint in Nor Cal and I know he can do shit like that.

Sorry to hear about it but doesn't the phone have a GPS in it? Can't they track it to where it has been and where it is now?
