Meant to post this last week, but on a hike with my daughter we came across an old stump that had springboard notches in it.

Always neat to see and learn more about the timber industry in the PNW.

That's freakin crazy! Looks like it's made out of metal. What's if made of. If that is metal had to be heavy as ****.

From Google: The "energized peanut butter" likely refers to Pintful, a company co-founded by Evan Laird and Sam Lepak, that produces a 100% natural, vegan, and high-protein peanut butter. They were based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin

It's a glass jar. Glass jars don't show age unless they have a date or they were made before the color was UV stable. It could be two years old.

Anyone know what this is all about? Found it across the road from an old CCC camp. In my research that I did, using Google lens mainly, we are thinking perhaps it is a boiler door?

Se trata de “El Ranchero Pescador”, una escultura de 4 metros de alto por 3 de ancho, elaborada completamente con metal reciclado, y que ya se ha convertido en un nuevo símbolo cultural de la región.

It is "El Ranchero Pescador", a sculpture 4 meters high by 3 meters wide, made entirely with recycled metal, and which has already become a new cultural symbol of the region.

I didn’t really “find” this so much as I set out looking for this old mill in Colorado but thought you all might think it’s coolIMG_3489.jpg IMG_3496.jpg .

we've got several old mining towns in MT too with old mill buildings. or the remnanats of. I think Comet is the only one still partly intact. Elkhorn used to be when I was a kid and I remember going there but it was torn down over safety concerns.
I always wanted to go to Kennekot in AK when I lived up there but never got the chance to. Just wanted to see what all of these could have looked like in their heyday.

And Elkhorn. The foundation footings are still there along with one big section of floor

that section of concrete is visible on the side in this view

I found this on our hunting property.

The internet says it's an axle from an old wagon.

Found this gem somewhere in the Colorado mountains a few years back. I don't remember exactly where. But it was for sale, just a little fixer upper
