I'm hoping that this will be the last time until November that I need to run the woodstove. I was busy after work today, I fixed the chain link fence that I backed into with the trailer last Saturday night. ( bed of the truck was filled with wood and the cap really blocks any rearward vision, the trailer is narrower than the truck so I can't see a damn thing.) It was harder to find a store that sold parts for chain link fence then I thought it'd be.

just checking in. Been knocking out the ever growing honey do list. For this place it's mostly lipstick on a pig. Mom, 91, is flying with my sister in a couple of weeks. Gonna squeeze in a brief visit here in Indy before driving to Cleveland to, essentially, say goodbye to her sister, 93, alzheimers, in hospice. Gettin' old isn't for pussies. They're the 2 youngest, and last, of 8.

Anyway my fiance´ wants to spruce tings up in the bathroom. We've re-floored the entire house since November. Lots of paint etc. It is a much fresher brighter feeling place.

Not trying to toot my own horn but I think the practice engraving restoration came out pretty friggin good.

After this set I’ll have a good handle on some techniques..

I'm up in Brownfield helping a friend clean years of crap off his property. 5 loads to the dump in the truck already, and we found a couple cool things. Very satisfying and a big help for him.

 

Gave the coop its usual deep clean for Spring. The ladies are chuffed.
Cleaned up an old US General toolbox thats been sitting collecting dust and posted it for sale to get rid of it.
Husband just pulled his Tundra into the garage to start a lengthy project replacing all of the suspension components, UCAs, LCAs, etc.
Measured out a footprint and starting on the plans for another garage build. The mice have been relentless in both our trucks and the tractor. All done with that bs.

 

78 here today....crazy. First hand wash of 2025.
