It's been at one shop in South Dakota and has sat there since.

Why wouldn't anyone like them? Toyota's answer to the BMW 3-series. I've thought they were cool since before I knew what a 2JZ was.

The wagon version (SportCross) would be extra fun, but unfortunately it was only available with an automatic in the US.

    I’ve wanted a manual sportcross is300 forever
Not 100% sure the wagons ever even came with a stick, but damn that’s the dream

Oh yeah? I didn't know it was still there, I figured he had it out sitting in someone's driveway. Damn. Lucky they're still cool with having it sit.

    That's exactly what I said!

Surprised he hasn't accrued storage fees to the point where he just says "you can keep the truck"

That's what I'd do if I was the shop owner - not to be unfair to Nick (or anyone in general) but it's unfair for the shop to store a vehicle for free for so long.

Do you even still own it at this point? Shop could’ve probably considered it abandoned by now

Yea he didn’t seem that interested in doing the work, I guess he didn’t seem to have time to mess with it. He did say he’d let me know if he needed it moved, and I haven’t heard anything, so I’m not too sure what the deal is. Ig it’s just become a fixture of that shop now and people just ignore it.

But being a 90s Toyota design it's probably not a difficult swap... if you can find the two necessary donor cars.

Doug DeMuro did a video on the SportCross and said only 3000 of them were sold in the US.

Idk, like I said, I asked him repeatedly if he’d charge me a fee, or if he needed it moved, and he said he’d let me know if that was the case.

He'd have to look up state law on possessions and/or private property.

I can tell you it's only 72 hours when it comes to pets in CA. It's not as cut and dry as that but that's the time window.

The wagon is what I always liked, but the sedan is what's been growing on me (I should've clarified that part) I was behind one in traffic the other day just zoning out on the rear design.

Surely he would’ve told me something before taking ownership of it. Idk he seemed like an honorable dude. All he has to do is text me “I need this gone” and I could make arrangements.

You should act on this statement before waiting for him to reach that point.

I've seen swaps, I don't know enough about them to know if that was a stock option, but I've seen manuals pop up. Sportcross in general are rare from what I've always seen versus the sedan. I'd be cool with an auto for a dd.

I’d take his word on it as well. Still would get it out of there sooner than later though. It’s been months

Yeah usually they'd give X amount of time then start enforcing. That's wild.

Yeah clean is300s are hard enough to find, adding a wagon too makes it next to impossible. A friend of mine had one (sedan) for a few months, threw an eBay turbo kit on it and it was pretty quick. Beat to hell though, and he just beat it more
