Yea. Never seen such around here. Looked at the outage map, it looks like @Gritto might be affected.

Hey, tough it out for the condition you’re in. I heard they had to use banana leaf in some far away countries sometimes.

 

Four other large limbs came down within view on our road. One on our property. We have power, but sounds like half the county doesn't.

The thing is, there was no warning.
Suddenly... BAM.
I hear trees, big trees going down, whoosh... the doors slammed, then power out.
Oh and heavy rain, but that was the least of my concerns.
It was all over in maybe 5 minutes.

Yep, and it'll be awhile too.
A big tulip poplar is down on the power line just up the street.

I got my little generator running and am enjoying some coffee right now.

I guess it wasn't a tornado, or at least I haven't seen any such report.
Lots of damage though, and many people without power.

 

A good bit of Hagerstown is out too. Going in a little bit to a friend's to bring over some food items, but I am probably going to lose a good bit of food.

After all this is said and done, I'm wiring up a generator hookup and getting a generator.

 

You should be okay for a couple days if you don't access your fridge or freezer too often

 

Been trying to tell others here that but they keep opening it

 

My neighbor says one of the pavilions down in the park was annihilated.
Downed tree, probably by one of those huge Black Oaks down there.

 

The pavilion at Jerome King in Greencastle collapsed as well. I'd really like to know what the Hell went through here. Somehow my roof survived intact. I found the clamps for my grill cover halfway across my yard
