As of yesterday I started having a weird issue on startup. The first instance was I used my remote start I installed several months ago (N2) and the truck started to turn over but then failed to start. I got in and turned it over again and it started. It took a couple turns longer than usual to start but it did start. I turned it back off and tried again and there was no issue starting this time. Later that evening I ran some errands and had no issues. This morning left for work and no start issues. This afternoon leaving from work I decided to avoid the remote start and start the truck the old fashioned way to see if it happened again. Well it started after cranking a little bit longer than usual but then pretty much immediately died. I started again and had no issues. The only real common denominator here is that both times it happened it was fairly hot out. I live in Georgia so it can be hot and humid. My first assumption is my battery is going out or my fuel pump is going out. I checked the battery voltage right after shutdown from a brief drive and it measured 12.91 volts. I changed the spark plugs about 2 months ago so I don’t think it’s those. anyone had issues like this or any clue as to what’s going on?

    How old is the battery?
Get it load tested,,, or it's over 3 yo, replace it anyways if you want to avoid the downtime, it's nearly done anyways.

Well you say that but it has nothing to do with it. It was the battery.

Most starting and electrical issues are due to a bad battery. Wish people would start there and just get a new battery instead of asking open ended and often way too lengthy questions on a forum.
