Let's See Your Dogs!!

Piper racked up an $800 vet visit today. I walked outside to check the mail, came back in the house and she was on the recliner screaming. Favoring her left leg and when probing around would start screaming when I would touch the front of her shoulder. Got her to the vet to have imaging done and nothing is broken so they’re thinking it’s a strain or sprain. She’s in pain meds for now pending a possible CT scan if she doesn’t get better over the next couple days.

Poor thing. Hopefully its something simple and the pain meds will help her until she gets better.

A few months ago my little boy that can never get enough to eat stopped eating. I took him to the vet and they did some x-rays. About $2000 later it was determined he was constipated. It cleared up on its own. Thats the most expensive vet bill I’ve ever had. That includes when my little girl had cancer and it was surgically removed.

 

Aww that’s too bad but sometimes spending the money and finding out everything is ok is worth the peace of mind. I was considering waiting to see if she got better but she wouldn’t stop her crying. She’s only 3 months old so perhaps she’s being dramatic…the vet said some puppies can be like that when they’re little.

 

It is hard to hear them cry. What kind is yours? How much does she weigh so far?

She’s a Brittany 3 months old and 11 pounds. I was concerned with her weight being a little on the light side but the vet said she’s right where she needs to be. I’ve never had a Brittany before always labs so it’s a new adventure.

My Brittany many years ago was the runt and was 34 lbs full grown. She was just the sweetest, mild mannered dog. She was my running partner, helped me train for many marathons. Enjoy your time with her.

 

Awesome to hear! She’s a sweetheart for sure. I’m looking forward to many years with her and hopefully many many feathers in her mouth!

Our old girl lilly is doing better ish. She is on some meds to help out with a few issues she had from last time so hopefully she will stay around longer. Had a good scare with her about a month back I think?


She is currently trying to to steal the gfs water bottle lol.

 

Not like he’s not paying attention or anything.

Our Malinois, a retired working dog, named Ada, which became Ada Potato, which was finally shortened to "Tater".
And our German Shepherd named Remington, or "Remy" for short. Remy is being the goofball that he is in the pic.

 

I used to take my GSD "Santino" to Costco with me to share a hot dog. I'd sit on the tailgate with he in the shell and feed him tid bits of hot dog. Man, I miss those days and him very much.
