I just talked to my buddy here in Devine that owns a powder coating shop, he said blasted seat rails and coated again around 200. I am guessing this is the front seat rails for the TA?

Yes for the fire turkey! Thanks. I guess I am busting out the wire wheel! After doing a bit more reading, these don't come into separate peices and people recommend chemical treatment. Boo!

Well damn, that sux. Just made the whole process that much harder. I wonder if you bought some belt sanding paper, cut it half and utilized that to get around the smooth edges better, you could grab both ends of the paper and work it back n forth.

I think RCI, C4 and a couple other providers the plates prepped. Then its just cutting and welding to get it done.

Good evening everyone. I have had my 2023 TACOMA TRD PRO for about a year now. I have always wanted one and I can say that I love it. The mods so far have started off fairly tame (don't judge) Pedal Commander, Rough Country Molle Bed Panels (Cab side installed, the side panels are going in soon), Seat Lifter kits with Molle Bar, BFGroodrich K02s, and finally, a RC Bed Cover. Aside from some other in-cabin accessories, my Tacoma is pretty much stock. I am really interested in any of the events in the San Antonio area. Please message me if there are any events upcoming. Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Cheers! Eric

Was trying to kick up some dust not long ago but then it just died again…lol

Welcome, lots of information on the first page if you are looking for things.

Events have been a little dry as of the last couple of years, we used to go the car show and different trails in the past but everyone (including me) got busy so things died off.

Good to know you’re still trying to kick a little brother. I had to pop back up as I’m rejoining the fold, can you believe I have had to buy my oldest a truck already? Picking him up a proper addiction starter later this week.

They are gonna have to enlist if they get any more expensive between now and then!

I’m still loving the Tundra, a grand total of 2200 miles put on her in the last year, but I’m still modding.

Geez, I thought I didn’t drive mine that much but you have me beat,,,you put any pinstripes on that thing yet?

Well I bought the wife a used Lexus and I took over the 4Runner and yes I’ve got the ford yet, bought new tires for it just over month ago due to a rock getting it at camp. Come to town today to meet with an old friend from work and talk shop just to get a nice fat bolt in the tire. Hoping I’m not buying another set of tires today.

Well, I am down for any events that may arise. Even if I have to create one myself. If there is anyone interested in some of the "Easy" to "Moderate" level trails on OnX Offroad that could be a good start. I recently did the "Rivers and Ribeyes" trail ending up in Mason, TX. It was hardly Off-Road, but it was good to just get out there. Either way, if anyone is interested or has any ideas, just message me or tag me in the thread.

Yeah I spend all my time in my company truck, so it should last forever. I did have some pinstripes on it from the hill country, but I got a wild hair a couple of weeks ago and spent three days compounding, polishing, and waxing it. She is a parked princess so might as well look the part.

The Lexus I bought when I got rid of the first tundra has been one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned, the wife still loves it.

Damn man, you are playing hell with tires… that never happened in your Tacoma, just saying .

I would pick a date out a little ways so you can get some traction around it, I can modify the first page on the event details for you so everyone can find it easy. Depending on the date, I may just jump in with you with the runner.

Ya the wife loves the Lexus, I pushed her towards it as I figured it would be one of the last vehicles I would get for her as she is hoping to retire in the next couple of years.

As for the tire thing, the F150’s tires were still stock so I had been wanting to change them out but hard to do when they are still good. So after waiting at Discount tire all afternoon I finally got things done, someone dropped a really fat bolt for me to find. The tech called me out to the bay to show me, he was surprised the tire was still holding air, bolt was about 4” long, and I guess it was close to a 1/2” bolt. Well I walked out with a new set of tires(was not on want to do list). Yes I still miss the Taco, but damn I sure can tow and haul things now with the bigger vehicle.
