At least it held up and didn’t leave you on the side of the road somewhere. I have to say, despite my harassment of you, I rented an F150 a couple of months ago and I was impressed. The back seat wasn’t as big as my Crewmax, but overall it performed well in Los Angeles traffic. I am thinking about going back to a three quarter ton or one ton again so I get it.

It’s all good, and I can handle the harassment…When I went looking for a new rig this is when there was no inventory to be found on the lots, somehow this one was there, it was the first one I drove that day. Approx 4-5 trucks later and multiple stops we went home, called the first dealership to tell them I wanted it, tried to put money down to hold it, they wouldn’t do it said it will be there. Sure enough I got to the dealership the next day and they had it in the sold line..hadn’t even done paperwork yet. Lol. It does drive really smooth which is a bonus and it has done everything I have asked of it, (too many pinstripes from camp and what not) and maybe one day I will polish it. Right now the last time I had it out of the barn was on the 29th of last month, for a 21 model I believe it around 26500 in miles so ya it sits a bunch.

Thanks, it’s just a plain SR5, no frills, I believe this is what I like about it the most. You still need to drive…not the vehicle drive for you

Id love to be remote. But my company dont believe in that. Ever since covid there was a few that ruined it for everyone. All of our competitors allow remote or hybrid schedule.

My prior employer didn’t want remote employees either.. i commuted an hr and a half every day for 7 yrs. Changing jobs was the best thing I ever did, that commute sucked. The best time to find another job is while you already have one:D

Howdy Mark, not much new finally got thru the tax deadline and now I can breathe again. Hope all is well up your way. Anything new with you?
I use Starlink and have the unlimited “Roam” plan so I just take it with me and it works well as long as you aren’t in a large urban area. Mounted it on a pole for a bike rack mount that came with the RV

Started a new gig in January of this year, end of this month I will see my first retirement check from the city…
I bought a starlink as well, set up on the roam plan and spent a few days working at camp during the day. Worked really well out there, basically set it up on some sawhorses and weighted it down so it would not move. Nice to see you got your self a little camper to move about.

. Ya, neg gig approached me so it was even better.

Oof, I don't miss the days of driving 45 minutes in the morning and the 1 hour commute back.

Unfortunately, too many companies are reverting back to this.

Yes, lots of people have become to lazy from being home and not focusing on what they were hired to do. It is easy to get sidetracked with things at home, I have had to learn myself to stay focused.
