Anyone know the function of that opening where the spider webs are? Is that an intake or an outlet for air?
This is the fuel vapor pressure sensor for the v6.

I doubt that will cause any issues. Have you checked your gas cap? Sometimes a loose or leaking gas cap can throw that code

Ya cap is new and oem so it’s not that. Funny enough, chat gbt seems to think that the spider web is the culprit. But I’ll let everyone decide if they agree or not.

I would clear it and see what happens. You are dealing with very small pressures here and anything might cause an issue.

A web like that across a main jet in a house furnaces will cause an issue and we are dealing with 1/2 psi pressure there. I had a spider die in the MAF tube on an F150 a while back, it raised havoc with fuel trims, I guess his balled up body would partailly plug then unplug, You would think that after a few months it would have fallen apart and self fixed, but it didnt, so to answer your question... I leave nothing to chance anymore and that web, maybe is all I can say.

Ya I cleared it yesterday so we’ll see what happens. I had a slew of other codes though so I’m hoping it was just a domino effect that tripped the other codes. At least that’s what chat gbt told me :rofl:p0442, p0446, p0450, and just recently p0171.

    Update:

since replacing the sensor my 442, 446, 450, and even my 420 codes have not come back, so I believe that did the trick. I’m not expecting the 420 to be gone forever but I am surprised that he hasn’t come back yet, usually it’s back by now.
