Everett Powersports actually had a pretty great selection for boots, including ADV type boots. They had the Toucans, and Tech 7s. They didnt have the Terra Evos though, which I ended up picking personally after ordering to the cyclegear in Lynnwood. I know its a drive for you but a day spent boot shopping is worth not being in the hospital with a snapped off foot.

Agree. Size down 1 for the Tech 7 (i have the same size feet as you). That squeak immediately made them a no for me, though when you are on the bike really doesnt matter.

Good to know about the sizing down, still hoping I can find something in store for testing out. Can squeezing be mitigated any way at all? Not a huge deal as I don't plan to hike anywhere really in the boots, will use them when hitting the dirt. Keep the mid shoes / boots for around town.

Wife and I just signed up for our Moto Endorsement class. Mid July. I was looking at June but she wanted to push it out a bit for more practice before hand. I'm good either way. Not like I care to haul around a passenger or ride at night in the near future.:bikewheelie2:

hells ya man! still waiting on when the gf wants to do her class. she is still getting use to her clutch so she wants to wait.

she does good with the clutch but if she messes up and stalls she freaks out and gets upset so one stall becomes uhh 10 lol.

Yup, that last part is what got Nicole to move to the DCT. The snowball of stalling, stressing, stalling worse, etc, was ruining it for her. Just too much anxiety.

Did she take the Permit class yet? Or is that the one she still needs to take? Nicole took the WMST novice class, where they taught a lot of clutch control/practice. Then we took the Beginner Permit class together. She's glad she took both. But she was a REAL novice on clutch. Only rode the XR100 twice before.

yuuup she can get it going after a bit and then once she is riding around she no longer has issues and if she does stall she just laughs and goes on. its just that start where she gets like that.

no permit class no to my knowledge we dont have that but she did take the permit test and she passed it. ( i havent lol they changed the test here and i cant understand the new stuff after riding for a few years now)

just changed the wording on the test. some of the things on the actual test do not make sense to me when riding. ive talked with other friends who just ran the permit for years also and they are also struggling with the test.

With the WMST class here, they spoon feed you what's going to be on the test. I never looked at the book/manual thing they want you to study. You take the test at the end of the class, so it couldn't be fresher in your memory.

Here in WA, you can only renew your permit once. Which is weird... like what if you don't pass and run outta time? But yeah, can't just keep a permit forever.

ahh when i took the test the first time it was very easy and made sense the new test just doesnt make sense at all to me...

if im remembering correctly? its been a min since i took it lol. but there was a question stating you are in the middle lane. i think it said there was a car to your right? but anyways you are coming to an intersection and a car is indicating and starting to turn to cross your path. i answered slow down a bit and be prepared to react. but it wants you to just go right through at the same speed. which ya i can see that but ive also had the same situation many times and someone about ran me over... so i know what most the answers are but i overthink them since in real world ive been about hit in some of these scenarios.

so we use to be able to just renew ours as much as we wanted but they have changed the law and we cant do that anymore.. which tbh is kinda silly since they were getting a constant 5 bucks every 6 months from people lol ya ya i could have take the m class but tbh im lazy and got other shit to do then go up and deal with those highway patrol flunkies...

I've heard nothing but good things about the instructors around here. The dude we had was hilarious, and a ton of fun. They aren't police of any kind, they've just been given authority by the state to teach/test. I mean, it's possible someone could do it off duty, so there COULD be a cop.

for the classes here ive been told the people are very nice and fun. im just talking about the highway patrol test takers the ones that sit in the bulding all day we have here. turns out they are not truly highway patrol just someone with a fake badge sooo a mall cop.

Motorcycle tires. I realize this topic is probably like politics or religion.

Need new tires for the Sporty. 777s have good ratings and recommendations. Michelin Commander II as well. What say the peanut gallery? Metzlers?

Riding buddy swears by the 777s, he has them on his bolt, which he dailies.

I’m a conservative rider, not commuting. I’ll do a couple hundred miles every couple weeks. Some freeway, mostly highway or backroads.

I had commander II’s on my cb750, no complaints from them. They were the only set of tires on ran on it though so not much to compare it to haha
