What kind of shell/camper is that? Do you have info on it elsewhere on the forum?

Thanks! Looks like the full size is the Nomad. Similar price to GFC. Might have to show my buddy that is eyeing a GFC just so he has options.

 

Do some reading on TW about vagabond... it's questionable if they're actually still in business. There's been some weird stuff through the years with them. May have been resolved, place mighta been sold or something, not really sure. Definitely do a little digging before thinking they are an option. Again, could be resolved, but not sure.

 

Eh, I popped in and feature to dollar I thing the GFC makes more sense. Couple that with the fact that it's manufactured in the USA, closer to Wyoming, and Montana doesn't have sales tax... I don't think it's actually comparable.

Great trip in the southeast BDR this weekend!

 

The Super Tenere is 575 from the factory. With armor, luggage and racks..... uh.... fat. My bike is fat.

 

That’s pretty heavy. It weighs almost as much as both of my motorcycles.

 

Yeah, even for a 1200 she's a tank, but all that weight disappears as soon as you break 5 MPH.

 

I wear 10.5, these are TIGHT, but probably a smidge too big. I'll bring em when I bring my wheels up just in case

 

I should be ready to go in a couple weeks. Any time after that. Just trying to get everything dialed in before I do anything for someone else.

 

No worries, I'm in no rush. The wheels still need to be stripped of tires and bearings

 

Ya it's an alta. Pricey but I just drove 10 hours each way with 4 hours of dirt road with no issues. Can keep up pace with little movement of the bike. I like this rack because it can take a mtb rack, and carry pedal bikes.
