Because of my Mom's ankle and hips, she used a walker. I just found her, unused, handicap plaque.

She refused to use it, "I'm not handicapped".

We finally got her into a wheelchair. " I don't need it"
We explained to her that it took her an hour to walk from point A to point B and it bothered us.

"Oh, ok then" she never used the walker again.

2 broken hips resulting in replacements and blood thinners. I wished she was in the wheel chair sooner.
You can still get up and exercise, or stretch and not worry about falling.

It was always a pleasure to help my mom get around, in/out of vehicles. I knew it was going to take a while to get into the restaurant, but that meant we had a bit of time to chew the fat.

Since her passing I've had a couple of visions of her, her legs work great and she always does some sort of contortionist flexing to show me her red little bug friend that lives on the edge of her foot

When I say an hour, that wasn't an exaggeration. Parking lot to restaurant. And every step was painful

Is that mattress made to fit around the wheel well of di it just not blow up because of it? Your setup turned out great, I hope that you get a lot of good use from it.

A little of this and a little of that.
    :hattip:Good morning everyone,

Sorry to hear about your M-I-L’s broken hip and I hope it all goes well for her. My M-I-L is going to have hip joint replacement next month. Hers is due to bone deterioration which is causing a hitch in her get-along as she says.

    Great news Chuck! :oldglory:

Mother-in-law’s surgery went smoothly they did a partial replacement. The socket was in good enough shape they replaced the ball part. Supposedly this will speed the recovery time up considerably according to the doctor. They are going to get her up on a walker today and go from there.
