It seems like you bought from a Toyota dealership.
Advise, don't call the dealership "Toyota" the dealership is basically a franchise of the Toyota Corporation.
The dealership is a privately owned and stand alone company.

Nice truck! Half the battle to figuring out what all the mods do is being curious. Just play around with them a bit and search the forum to reverse engineer/understand them. For example, the extra battery is probably for a winch since they draw a lot of power. Good luck! Welcome to TacomaWorld!

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

    Nice looking ride

The best thing you can do is meet up with the fellow who built the truck. Don't try to take a lot of his time at work, make an appointment with him and take him to lunch instead. Take notes too.

I'm sure he will be glad to tell you all about the build.

I’d suggest you play around on YouTube a little bit -search for some of the features you have. You might find some helpful info.

    Nice truck!
I like how the previous owner just used the oem roof rack for the awning and shower.

You have a very cool looking truck I'll give you that, but with a lot of unnecessary stuff. Hope you didn't over pay.

Definitely watch some how to and safety videos before you start playing around with that winch. There is a ton of potential energy when under tension!

I love the color and the whole look. Welcome to TW! I just bought my first 3 gen myself three weeks ago, although it's my 4th Toyota truck. Yours is way nicer than my SR5! Enjoy it, you'll figure it out.

Well, at least it was sold as "Certified"... and hopefully has a warranty. I'm actually surprised it was sold as Certified - Most dealerships won't/can't certify vehicles (under Toyota's certification program) with mods like that.

If it were me, I'd confirm the truck was sold as a true Certified Pre Owned Toyota and not just a pre owned vehicle with the dealership's independent "certification" program. All of those electrical mods seem like a can of worms and potential nightmare if something starts acting up and you're trying to get it repaired under the factory/certified Toyota warranty. There was recently a 927 page thread :D about a warranty repair being denied over a basic electrical mod.

Regardless, it looks like a beautiful truck with some neat mods... just keep close eye on things. I'd look over the truck for marks/indentations on nuts and bolts or paint missing from factory bolts/locations. In my experience, trucks with that many small modifications usually have a several more that you haven't discovered yet (ie: something minor like aftermarket hood struts (in your pic)... or something larger like suspension replaced, then returned to stock). Have fun with the new truck.
