Jerry from BAMF took over the builds. My buddy just put an order in and was given a 4 month lead time. I like this camper because it's all welded aluminum vs erector set type.

Welder here, aluminum actually does better riveted and fastened etc than welded in high vibration use cases, for whomever’s info. I still plan to use a combo of welding and fastening for the shell I’m building, but that info may be helpful to some. Desert racing eats through aluminum welds in no time. Headed out to a local camping spot twice a year probably won’t ha. YMMV. Cheers.

It did pretty good, Long stretches of hwy are its downside but thankfully there weren't that many. It was perfect in all the national forests

hells ya man! once the gf gets more comfy with her bike she wants to do a small bike trip kinda thing like that. do you still have the oem seat? or aftermarket? idk if the r model is different from the dual sport model on the seat part. all i can say is the r model seat is a rock lmao
two bike carrier? id be worried about the weight with that one but interesting.

atm we are looking into a small toy hauler to haul both bikes and to camp out of.

You need to look at bicycle shorts. Pads in the butt and crotch areas. I've worn them during some Iron Butt rides and they definitely help.

Nah. I actually really do like the GFC, but already have a nice RTT. Just need a rack. The rack from my Tundra might work, but need warmer weather to test fit.

Not that I'm aware of. I just grabbed a pair with padding in the areas mentioned and they made a big difference. I've had them for years, bought them for when I rode my Buell from PA to Laconia Bike Week in NH. Trust me, those Buell seats were nothing to write home about.

Your R didn't come with a rad fan? Odd differences in the same bikes essentially..

I use the Race Face Flanks for my MTB days, removable hip armor (never used). Didn't think about using it for the moto, be an idea on longer rides.
