Dirt and grime hold moisture, and that causes your truck to age faster than it should. And you and others think that is a good thing?

Care to quantify “age faster”? Sort of a nebulous term

Funny, this truck is the only vehicle I have ever really cared about keeping clean, and I have owned a lot over the years... I never trashed them out or anything, just never washed them, that is what the rain is for right??...

After I did the cutting up of the 65' tree thing, I had to have it washed and vacuumed out with in a few days...o_O

Replaced the right rear (passenger side) fender flare today. The old one has deep scrapes on it. Not worth the time and effort to repair/repaint. Got the replacement from JAMS auto parts. Came pre-painted Magnetic Grey with clear body protector films on the front and rear, 3M adhesive tape along the edge of the flare, and all the trim pieces like the blue and orange clips. Removal of the old and installation of the new was a breeze.

Daughter took her Mustang to GreaseMonkey for an oil change and asked if they could change the In-Cabin Air Filter. They said yes.
Then when she got home she looked at the receipt and they replace the one under the hood - For $85.

Not sure about the husky liners (although I’ve heard they are good), my weather techs have held up great the past 9 years.

I have yet to see a truck that those wheels don't look good on.

I am a little biased in that opinion though...

Not a good day for my Tacoma yesterday. Driving home from work and took an alternate route to avoid a wreck on the interstate. Sitting at a stop sign and the guy behind me was on his phone not paying attention and got me in the left rear. He apologized several times but "sorry" doesn't make it okay that you weren't looking where you should have been, nor does it fix my truck. Of course, it didn't do as much damage to his vehicle. As far as I can tell, I would need a part (or all) of a new rear bumper, tail light assembly, and the fender is creased in a little, so that might can be fixed and repainted. I don't think the frame was damaged but I'm really not sure. Gosh I sure hope it's not bent because I absolutely love this truck. We'll see what happens with repairs now that insurance is involved. I checked the tailgate and to my eyes it seems to be fine and not misaligned.
    :annoyed:

If that concerns you then you should be doing regular maintenance for her without her having to ask. Especially in cabin and engine air filters. Most are simple.

Had Husky xact contour on a few vehicles. They are good+. Way better than weather tech and oem I've had.

Installed a fuse block. I have a few more accessories to install so figured I should get this done.

I have a plan for the relays. Just need to get some hardware.

I am researching rubber hinge replacements for my 2023 factory tri-fold Tonneau cover. Although I am unsure of its history, it seems to have failed sooner than expected at just 2.5 years old. One hinge is definitely leaking, I'm still testing the other two.

    I don't entirely disagree but:
    1. I said it happened. I didn't say it concerned me.
    2. I let her fail sometimes because she learns from her failures and grows.
    3. Now she knows to be more specific up front and check the receipt before leaving because changing her own engine air filter is something she does.
    4. She's a grown adult woman with a career and a job and she makes her own money - good money. Better than I did when she was born adjusted for inflation.
    5. She lives 150 miles away.

I have shown her how to do it, and she has helped me with other vehicles when she was growing up, but she figured that she was in for an oil change any way so she'd ask for the filter then too.

Well let's see, what does moisture held next to metal cause?
