stupid newb question about cruise control

    Is there a way to use the cruise control without the assist on? Its a PITA

    Assuming you mean it comes up default with radar speed after just a touch on the button? Yeah, I hate that. If you just hold the cruise ON push button for a few seconds it will switch in your display over to "FIXED SPEED" or something like that (sorry don't remember haha). No way I know of (?) to have it default in that mode from startup.

    YEP. With the cruise control off, If you hold the cruise control on/off button for about 2 seconds or so it'll be in normal cruise control rather than the adaptive mode. the indicator on the dash changes as well.

    I did too when I first got it but over the years I've grown to enjoy it on super long road trips.

    The MT in your vehicle profile probably helps with that enjoyment a bit too, compared to an automatic haha.

    One thing I learned accidentally is that in regular cruise if I push in the clutch to shift it shuts off cruise control (which is normal for most cars) but in adaptive cruise I can shift and it maintains the speed setting without having to redo it! blew my mind... super convenient.
