My mileage lately has been pretty decent. Although I was pulling a 50’ travel trailer and had a ton of gravel in the bed, I still managed to get decent mileage. This also was while driving in the hills of West Virginia. Seriously!

When you just fill up the gas tank and then go down hills you get optimistic numbers like that, after you burn through the entire tank it will be more realistic.

Exactly what @shakerhood said. We all wish we could get mpg like that wishful thinking. Lol

My Tacoma is too old to have that display, but I've hit 40 mpg in my F150 with a 22' travel trailer behind it. While coasting down a 30 mile stretch of mountain road.

Want to really see some high, but temporay mpg's. Get up to about 60-70 mph and hit the reset button. My Ford will top out at 100 mpg for a few seconds and take about 1 full minute before giving realistic numbers

It looks like you were in neutral coasting down hill with your trailer pushing you and recently filled up.

why not show trip meter and fuel level?
I think we all know. Follow up after you tow that thing back up hill with a near empty tank.

Depending on what brand of oil you use and how often you change it can impact the MPGs too.
