Just to add to the list of shit ways we've been canned, the last contract job that I was on ended with a call while I was on my way into the oriface. The recruiter called and said that the company's HR called the recruiting office and got rid of all of the contractors that were on the same project. I told them that I was almost there to the plant location, they said to just get my crap and leave the badge on the desk.

 

Sorry Walter , kinda old school, but they did it back in the day but just not as much. I’m from Detroit, seen a lot of salary people get the shaft

Good morning everybody! I want to thank everyone for the prayers and support my mother-in-law is doing well. They got her on her feet yesterday but her blood pressure dropped so they did what therapy they could with her laying down. This morning it’s more normal so maybe she can take a few steps if everything goes according to plan they will move her to another wing for more therapy.

I finally broke down and retired the old Weber kettle a couple weeks ago and bought a new one. The old one no longer regulated airflow or sifted ashes so now I need to relearn how to cook with a grill that works right.
