New cats! OEM or aftermarket?

Hey guys, my primary cats went bad. Any good aftermarket ones on Amazon? Are they worth it or should I go oem ?

I got 135,000 miles on my 2016 trd OR double cab.

I live in the Middle East so I’d have to ship them here. There are plenty of used ones from salvaged Tacomas but they are expensive.

I don't know about these trucks specifically, but my buddy is a tech at a Honda dealer and they see lots of issues with folks brining in botched jobs with aftermarkets. I would also investigate why they failed, so you don't wipe out the new one$, I would think they would last longer.

exhaust was one of my specialize as a tech...
aftermrkt are garbage, theyre cheap cuz theres hardly any precious metal in them which is what makes them effective long term...
only going to get a few years out of cheap aftermarkt...

 

I have been a tech for 45 yrs. I WOULD NEVER BUY AFTER MARKET CATS, THEY WILL NOT LAST & YOU WILL BE PLAGUED WITH THE DREADED MONEY LIGHT !!! If you planning on selling this within a year, do it. Good luck..

OP, you still talking about cats? lol JK I would go ahead and order the OEM and be done with it but as already been said find out what trashed your original cats. What’s the gas like over there? Are other people having cat problems in Lebanon?
